I know I have read this story before! I didn't realize you had removed the original but it was one of the best stories on this site I have ever read. Whatever the reason, I am going to enjoy getting to know Micah and Talya all over again. Seth was always a favorite character of mine too. Welcome back!

There's no way for them to reach a healthy relationship from this point on with that beginning, no matter how remorseful Micah is once the heat of battle wears off. They could wind up being allies though. If Talya awakens some desire to be a better person in Micah, that's cool and a good thing, but I don't think I'd be able to see a future where Talya can justifiably fall in love with Micah...
He's clearly not a good guy even though he likes to think that he is and I would certainly like to see some comeuppance for what he's done to Tayla, Seth, and the countless other nameless victims. Even if it's only directly after battle, I, personally, don't find that justification enough, esepcially since he ACTUALLY KNOWS BETTER and knows enough to feel bad. Jonah is the best of the three soldiers, honestly, so he should just get Talya out of there. I'm curious to see where this is headed though and how he'll at least attempt to fix this.
