Thank you for another wonderful installment of "Collateral Damage"! I am so glad that Seth followed the advice and was more patient with Talya during his training. I was very tickled to see Micah x Talya reunite as well! The binding ceremony is a very interesting and unique concept - I look forward to seeing that type of relationship develop between them (something more solid). I also am curious to see what happens when Micah finally takes Talya home to meet his family. You continue to keep me guessing and eager to see what happens next! Wonderful chapter and author, thank you!
This chapter definitely is moving things forward and hinting at what is to come for Talya now that Micah can return (temporarily?) to his civilian life. I enjoyed seeing more of a focus on Seth, it was refreshing to move away from the main characters and examine their relationships with secondary ones :) I feel bad for Talya - all that new training is definitely uncomfortable. But I really look forward to Talya x Micah reuniting! Thanks for another wonderful installment!
What a fantastic update! Thank you so much for continuing to edit and update your story :) I enjoy seeing how the relationship continues to evolve with Malachi x Talya. It is nice to see how they rub off on each other, but that the also overcome trials and tribulations as well. I look forward to seeing what happens in the future, like when Micah returns home...will Talya go with him!? I cannot wait to see :3
Another great chapter! I'm really excited to see what happens once they reach the base! :)
What a chapter! Poor Talya's emotions were put through the ringer in this chapter. I'm eager for more! :)
Yet another great installment to this story! I think it is very wise for you to take time developing Micah x Talya's relationship with plenty of bumps along the way. It makes for a very realistic relationship between the two of them. It is also very interesting how Talya begins to realize he is developing feelings for his Master :) I cannot wait to see what you have coming in future chapters. Thank you again for sharing on AFF!
Wow, so this is a tough one, I like the story and you're a super talented writer, but I must echo one of the previous reviewers, I hope this doesn't end up in romance between Micah and Talya. Micah's morality is questionable at best, he reminds me of one of those abusive husbands that would bring you flowers after beating you bloody. There are plenty of military commanders in history that refused to sanction rape, the fact that Micah still doesn't see anything wrong in violently abusing his slaves just makes him irredeemable in my eyes. He doesn't even have the excuse of Talya being a previous enemy, he's a non-combatant and one of his countrymen on top of it. I found his thoughts on his sons extremely ironic, the fact that he thinks Talya’s lack of family power makes it ok for him to abuse him.
Anyway, well done, I'm really hoping though that Talya gets his freedom and delivers Micah his comeuppance, I like how there are signs that Talya’s origin might be much more important than Micah thinks.
Another great chapter! :)
Great story. Micah is certainly easier to take now. I really like Seth. I'm hoping that Talya can find some peace. i'm certainly keen to find out what happens. This is one of thre best stories on AFF and i really look forward to your updates.
What a wonderful update!!! I am so glad that Talya is feeling better and that his relationship with Micah continues to develop in a positive way :) It would be harder for Micah to deny his feelings than to just accept them. I think Talya's calming presence is exactly what a warlord needs on the battlefront! The way you write them together is so charming and flows so excellently. Thank you for another wonderful installment and I cannot wait to see what happens next! (Like what happens to Talya once the army separates from/delivers the captives). By the way...can I add you on messenger? I'd love to chat on there :3
