I read up to about chapter 19 over a year ago I think, then read the (all of it again) rest over the past 2 days. You write really well and I thoroughly enjoyed the story, but (& I don't know if you still check reviews!) I'd love an epilogue - maybe a few years down the line. And if I'm honest, unless there was real change in Micah, I'd just like Talya to be happy without him - but how do you find true happiness when you've lived Talya's life? Is it possible? Made me think a lot about that and that's down to your writing. So, thank you for the story and Talya.
WOW! What a way to wrap up this beautiful and heart wrenching tale! It was amazing to see Talya grow up and find confidence in himself as an independent, wealthy and young adult. However, I adore that no matter how much time has passed he is still drawn to Micah...who he truly does desire to be with...and I love that he realizes this AFTER all the years of discovering his own passions and way in life. So his love for Micah is not solely a dependency, like before he was sent away to college. I am so sad to see this story end...I could read on and on about their relationship and how it continues to grow. Thank you for this fantastic, detailed and eloquently written tale!
Ok I loved all of this book except those last two chapters. This book has always been leading to Talyas and Micahs happily ever after, however I now feel fully robbed of it I can understand him spending his 2 years away studying and helping rebuild after the war but for Micah to basically go right back to how it was BT (before Talya) was not believable in the least. For Talya to do a full 180 from craving Micah to just tuning has back for essentially 7 yrs was ridiculous and to leave it with the wishy washy up in the air end was terrible and as for Talya taking Yuri to his bed unbelievable Mallika throwing yet a mother tantrum and doing the whore in my house again felt forced they had already been down that road now having Talya come home and maybe Rean coming back and causing issues maybe an attempt at getting what his brother got or some such and Talya and Micah finally telling each the need and love they have for each other would have been great and Talya meeting the king n getting some slave rights going would have rocked cos of course like everyone else the king would adore him
Sorry I ranted but just such an awful end I nearly cried from frustration 😢😢😢😢😢😢

Micah just can't help bossing Talya around, no matter his good intentions. And Talya needs to understand that there are ways to be with people that don;t involve slavery, whether that person is Micah or someone else. He really needs this time for himslef, and good on Micah for realising this. You have developed the characters far beyond how they were at the beginning of the story and now we must wait to see how the changes work out. Thanks!
This was a very unexpected and surprising chapter! I am not sure how I feel about Micah releasing Talya...it is both fantastic and bittersweet. I really liked how their relationship was progressing, but Micah definitely does need to figure out what he's going to do with his life now that he moved his wife faraway AND isn't in the military anymore. The same goes with Talya...he never had a choice about anything: the monastery and then being a slave. So they both need time to really discover themselves and what they want...even though I do hope they find their way back to one another. It's also REALLY hard for me to picture Seth with a girlfriend...
Wow, was not expecting Micah to free Talya and send him to the University! I think it's a good move though, so Talya can figure out what he wants from life, whether that be a career, or to be Micah's "slave" again. Can't wait for the next chapter to find out what happens!
