What a fantastic story! I had trouble getting through chapter 3 because I felt Nick was being purposely cruel with the dry entry and wasn't thrilled with the cold relationship between the two or Nick's talk of "breaking him and selling him off quickly", but damn if I'm not thrilled I kept going. Those last two chapters were powerful. I wish I knew more about both of their backgrounds, but like the unraveling mystery too. I hope you update soon. I keep checking obsessively for a new chapter and can't wait to read more!

Wow! The first chapter totally hooked me. You convey so much depth and meaning very efficiently. I love it. It's neither flat and colorless nor overly long and rambling. That's really nice to read. I'm already completely invested in the characters. I feel for both the master and slave. It's a fascinating world you're building. I'm off to the next chapter, but I had to review. Xoxo Robin

I havent read all of Hollow Earth but this story is just as good as it is if not better. Would love to read more :)
As always I loved the new chapter. I'm glad that Nick is being nice to Milo.
I loved the hints and tidbits about Nick's past with Seth. The tattoo was interesting and I'm curious to know more about it. Hearing that the other half of the story was tattooed on Seth sent a sharp pain through my heart.
Again I love Seth. It is difficult to make a character likeable when they are not directly in the story, but you do a good job.
I especially liked the last line. I'm assuming that Nick was talking about Seth. Seth's death is tragic, but I doubt Milo and Nick would have met otherwise.

BTW I like Ava. It is sad that Milo hasn't had a mother figure since he was very young. I get the feeling that no one has cared about his wellbeing as a person for most of his life. I can't imagine how that would devastate a person. Everyone deserves unconditional love from someone as a child. I hope Nick can help Milo to heal.
