I can't wait to see more of this and find out where you take it.
You know of course that by publishing this that measn you hafta keep writing on it right? Have you come up with anymore funny or ironic deaths?
I've read several of your stories off and on and greatly enjoyed them. This one has especially piqued my interest. I love characters that can't die, and I really appreciate the positive portrayal of Muslims. I look forward to reading more, and while I may not always remember to review, I will be here reading!
Ah, poor Mohammed! :( Somehow I sense this staying alive lark is going to prove difficult for him. It's almost as if his life is being argued over, maybe by Allah and... would it be Iblis?
His poor mother too. What a shock, and then to do that, though I can't say I blame her.
Interesting that he should wake up in the church though, unless that's just because it's the last place he was before... in which case he should wake up in his own kitchen next time. Ha... I wonder if everyone will be gathered at the funeral parlour and the church, and Mohammed will awaken alone in the kitchen.
Is he some kind of modern day prophet? Because in Islam Jesus is a prophet, like the original Mohammed... hmm... or are the Priest/Vicar and the Imam supposed to come together (or bring their communities together) to prevent a greater tragedy?
So many questions!
Really enjoyed this chapter, CL - thank you! :)
Yay! i'm glad you finally started posting this :D It's one of my faves.
Oh, a very interesting beginning! I liked Mohammed as soon as I began reading, and I can't wait to see how he reacts when he "comes to" so to speak. I am assuming his longevity is going to come as a surprise to him too, though... oh, this first chapter is such a tease!
Loved his thoughts in the Mosque about Allah, and I especially love that this is a bisexual character, which is so rarely done right - I know you will do this story justice. I smirked at the cops joking, though I suspect they're not going to laughing so much when their body goes walkabout, lol.
Thank you for writing and sharing, CL! :)
