You replied on the forum that you're surprised about some Cassie hate in the reviews. I don't know about other people but I definitely like her. She clearly cares for Emory and he clearly cares for her. Which makes me feel really bad for kind of hoping she had died when she had the baby. I feel kind of like a jerk for wanting that to happen to a good character but I think my mindset was that it would make it easier for Emory and Kita when they got back and Kita wouldn't have to worry about being a lover on the side. Loving the story so far! Hoping everything works out for everyone!!!
I like Cassie, and how supportive she is of Emory. But I think that support is easy when Nikita wasn't an active part of Emory's life. I look forward to seeing Cassie and Nikita meet. I have a feeling she won't like Nikita because she knows how Nikita's leaving hurt Emory, and she worries about Emory's future. But I think that once she sees how happy Emory is with Nikita, she'll come around to at least not actively hating him. She seems like she is good with kids, and will be a great mother. I can see her being a good influence on Nikita's kid, even when she dislikes Nikita.
I wonder how Immarans how same-sex relationships and infidelity. I can problems in her homeland if it became known that Emory was "disrespecting" their marriage by having an affair.
But the MiCD tag makes me worry about Cassie's future - I hope it's not for her!
I love this story.
Even with the frequent updates, it feels fast pace. I think it's because us readers are so familiar with this word that you don't need to explain indepth like you did back in gods & kings.
I don't think I've even left a review before but I really appreciate this series!
Ahhh all these chapters are so wonderful! I was a little unsure about such a big span of years between the installments at first but I felt the same way at first about a land of gods and kings and it was incredible so I should've known better. ;D I had predicted Emory's wife would die during childbirth but that would be way too easy right?! Just want to express my love for this and all your stories! <3
I actually like Cassie, I had dreaded the idea of her simply dying from childbirth. However, Kita is my favorite out of every single character. He is in so much danger now, South is probably is only option. Everything is about to be complicated I think, but damn I will love every chapter of it.

im worried, what if the child isn't his? I know that's because I'm just a paranoid person, but what if he's not? Like it would shock me in these stories of the betrayals that exist.
