I have no idea what is going on here. I can't sort out the characters and there seems to be subtext I'm missing.
I have never felt so compelled to read a story that I am so completely confused by.
I've been reading almost straight through since I found this so I thought I'd leave a review. This is my first of these stories - I guess you have a series of them? I'm having some trouble sorting out exactly what is going on. It took me a while to figure out is was cat and dog people and the companion was human. I still don't quite get the gods thing and what was going on with the board and Aw and what exactly everyone is? People-shaped people with animal DNA? Why does Aw get "tossed" to the big wild males to get mounted? I dunno. I don't quite get the alpha/beta/delta heirachy, or why the delta and epsilon are acting out of character.
I don't even care about any of that because this is so adorable. I'm picking up bits as I go, and the image of the owner/cat person melting from the pet/companion's scritches is so cute. And the bi-polar nature of cat people - in charge, I will take you out - Scrtiches, please? I love all these characters. And as confused as I am I keep reading to get more of them, and as tidbits or clues to explain this world.
Hi Ayato. This story is pretty awesome. I am still reading the beginning chapters but I am really enjoying it so far. I really admire your ability to to update so frequently. Plus you have developed this whole alternative world. I love it. Keep up the good work.
