I'm only about 1/6th of the way down this chapter (18) but I already adore the insight that is revealed to us through Heath's eyes. It builds a connection from the reader to the character that is very deep and satisfying. Because so much of the story revolves around Joseph, we're rarely allowed the opportunity to relish such close connections to other characters. For example, in the first book, if we were allowed into Evelyn's eyes, or Mike's that way, the entire story would have been significantly different.
Matt rolled his eyes, “I know that. Or are you just trying to get your kicks?”
Hahahah. OH, that was SO. SAD. I nearly had tears in my eyes from the heartbreak between Joseph and Troy. Thank you for making me think of my exes. Is it the worst and most twisted thing ever to just wish they would somehow work out? Really, it's not like they can have children and it won't be any different than what they were doing before. And they would be happy.
On Chapter 19... well, I spoiled things for myself (WTF THE GUY IS ALIVE?!) but that's a given. And I guess I am a masochist that way. But there are no two masochists bigger than Troy and Joseph. Bloody hell, those two. Jeez. And I don't know whether I should be horrified or terribly amused. I know that they're both in angst and heartbreak, but leaving a puddle of cum in someone's bed, unsolicited, just makes me want to laugh myself to pieces and run away at the same time. It's so passive aggressive. I really like the introduction of Liam here. Man is Troy PMSing with him around. So far, Liam's character is good and to the reader, or at least to me, nothing like Joseph. As I said in my review of the previous chapter, regarding the perspective of Heath, this was a magnificent insight into the inner workings of Troy's mind. It looks like as far as the third book goes, this is the most we've seen Troy open up emotionally and mentally. I was hopeful for a moment that he would develop a bond for Liam and use him to get over Joseph, but that thought deflated like a knife to a balloon, real quick. An overdue congratulations on the house.
Oh, and Liam is far more fascinating than Matt, so far.

That is a hard situation to go through. Every time its happened to me it makes me lose my enthusiasm and momentum and the story I write out after either is a poor copy or is completely different. Im glad you've overcome it. I for one have missed your monthly updates and am grateful for such a long chapter. Thank you for coming back.
