Also, congratulations on making it to 40 chapters! I noticed it a little too late, but it's still quite a feat!
...I can't even begin to express just how much more worried I am at this point. Queen sounds like a good fit, like he'd definitely get along with the lot of them and would be a welcome addition to the family, despite his unpredictable attitude. Just how the hell are our babies (Nikko and the three pups) going to go up against the company in its entirety? Jack...he's like their only advocate and he can barely do anything as it is! If they can't take the company down, then they need to take down its LEADER and have Jack take over, that is the only way any of them will be safe and still make profit (because, come on, Jack is still well-versed in business...just because he CARES about the students doesn't mean he wouldn't put them to high-paying work when they're ready). Anyway, when it comes to Queen, like I said, welcome addition so far. If he joined the "secret corporate take-over plan" (which I'm totally making up out of nowhere), I can see him seducing Kit to distraction so they'd have a chance at taking Hunter down. I mean, at least Jack has Russell on his side...they can rally up the troops and convince them to fight on their side? Now I'm just rambling away all my hopes and dreams, ha ha ha.
You are a wonderful writter omg... Got me hooked from the very beginning :3
I just had to leave my review here, please keep up the excellent work and please update soon >_< pleaseee
Greetings from Brazil o/
Wow, that was certainly a surprise. A third student, as if he didn't have enough difficulties with the first two. Poor Jack's still trying to protect whatever students he can, but who's going to protect HIM? The company's one big mess and I can't help but feel that it would be far better run by Jack himself.
That fox is a dick...
Seems like such a bad idea to take in another student. Hopefully they make it to the end of the week unscathed.
That is not ok. Not ok at all. At least we now know where Jack stands, but this whole organization is extremely fucked up. Please please let it work out somehow.
Oh my goodness, you got me right in the feels! So heart breaking. There has to be a way to save the animals. Pretty please? Xoxo Robin
"I'm afraid what will happen when his scent fades for good." - This line is just the most heartbreaking thing...EVER.
...Toto had died of a broken heart. - Correction, THIS line is just the most hearbreaking thing EVER!!!! Oh, the AGONY! Poor, poor innocent and earnest BABY...Just...what will happen to Ruka? When he finds out...if the same thing already hasn't happened to him, that is. Romeo and Juliet style. At least they'd have gone together, but DAMN. The angst...the sorrow...
I generally try not to write any spoilers in my reviews, but Toto noooooo, whyyyyyy. So very, very sad. Innocent, innocent thing.
And then there's the fact that Knight and Bishop FELT it in their very BONES the moment it happened. Would freak anyone the fudge out.
I need a moment...or two...or three.
-deep breaths-
Ok, let's see if I can finish reading the chapter.
'Nikko also had to be the one to call the facility. He didn't know who Noella's coordinator was, so he called Jack. Jack would know what to do.' - OH, fuck! As if Jack weren't ALREADY frustrated about not being able to do anything...'oh, by the way, the bun buns you tried so desperately to protect? well one of them just dropped dead!!!!' Ugh...poor Jack.
'Maybe he wasn't strong enough, but there wasn't anyone else around.' - -gushing tears- Damn straight, Nikko! Do the right thing!!
Alright...I can breathe again...Whew, it was a thousand times harder to survive this chapter than it was seeing poor Gus's frightful fight and lost limb. You just HAD to hit us with the precious fluffy bunny babies, didn't you? OVERKILL. Damn it, Toto...you'll be remembered. -sniffle-
Seriously...it's like your suspense, angst, and story flow are at the very top of their game in this chapter. I was too busy angsting to remember to even mention as much in the last comment! This was, hands down, one of the best chapters...even topping the chapter before which I thought was one the best REVEAL chapters ever. I just hope you give us a glimmer of hope after all of this. Suspense, angst, and sorrow mean nothing if we're not rewarded with a distant, happy-ish ending...just a little...a spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down! Alright, I'm done babbling now.
