It was such a sad chapter :( Aren is so horrible, I'm sure he suspects what's going on between Seral and Tal, and does what he does on purpose!

Augh, I feel so bad for Tal. The humiliation of his experience made me cringe throughout.
(I do like how you progressed the banquet through the effects of the drug..trippy...and menacing, especially with all the drunk spectators.)

Well you really are doing a good job of confusing me. I am utterly in love with Aren. And yes, bad boys definitely do it for me. :P

Make Seral and Tal be more careful. I'm so scared that Aren is going to do something awful!

Getting very nervous. Aren seems to know Seral cares for Tal and this seems like a set up.

As far as the banquet goes, people can be horrible.

Aren...ugh, I don't like him...but he was weirdly nice this chapter, so I still can't really hate him...
I loved visualizing all the night sky/star imagery! Especially this line: "They both seemed so small out in the dark, silent night. Even as Aren towered above him, touching him, Tal couldn’t bring himself to feel any kind of terror." Dunno why, but it's somehow peaceful, and I like that Tal finds comfort in it.

You did a great job with the 3rd person p.o.v., but I think 1st person works just as well, with Tal. It's really up to you!

I think I like the other POV way better... But honestly? Whatever makes you happy, you should do. I will continue reading no matter what you decide. Promise! :)

Please tell me we aren't suppose to like Aren? You are making him sound so freakin' sexy. Like... If I didn't despise him to the core I would probably have a major crush on him. Like, damn, telling me stories... Caressing my cheek... Cuddling me... Ensuring I have enough rest. Boyfriend material. Except all the gross "Pet" and Master icky ness he keeps bringing up. :P

God, I hope this isn't gonna end up with Tal having some kind of twisted affection or even tolerance of his rapist. Yeah, his home is no more but that doesn't mean ending up resigned to life with a pompous sadist is a good thing.

As far as the POV goes, nicely done. You nailed Tal's despair and fear well.

Your story so far has me addicted and yet on edge. I want to believe that there is a future for Tal in the not too far off present, but i have no inkling where you are headed with this story. Does the horse dream mean anything? Is Tal elven? Does he perhaps have magic or a noble lineage? So many questions in my head and no answers.

Love this story very much and always enjoy it when I see a new chapter. ❤️

What would happen if Master Aren somehow replaced Tal someday with someone new, but sees Tal with Seral and gets really jealous and angry over it?

Aren is a dick. And possibly a sociopath. Though, I do like a villain who can feign sweetness/calmness one second and be sadistic/bastardly the next. Crazy bad guys are best when they die in terrible ways though (hint hint). Can't wait for more! I'm glad you are back!
