so I read the story and its really good.. the only thing was the "epilogue" area of the last chapter. It was like "WHOA... quick much" there was nothing romantic in the interactions between seven and gem, so months later for gem to be over his aversion to being touched and his pain and the nightmares with the death of Cale.
Again, the story itself I thoroughly enjoy, its just that last paragraph.

as much as I loved the story I have to be honest: that ending felt rushed, and you never explained how Cale got Seven (he had no way of knowing Gem was alive, unless Marlo sold him out again); usually these confrontations span a whole chapter with a cliff-hanger in which we don't know who survived that shot, and the scene would be written in a way that makes us thing Gem's the one who got the bullet...

I'm still really enjoying this and I'm really curious about the story behind seven's name. One little thing is that it would be helpful to have some symbol repetition like a line of dashes or something to help let us know when the scene is suddenly changing

The verbal exchange between Gem and his doctor was epic! A nice use of humour to break up the angst. I love the idea of the pheonix tattoo, it's a brilliant representation of Ben's rebirth. However, I'm a little worried about him, how will he REALLY feel at the end of this, knowing he murdered all these men?
Don't worry too much about the fight scenes, I have trouble writing them too :)
