8U Your first two chapters have me hooked! Absolutely beautiful writing, and one of my favorite premises! I LOVE king/slave fics where the slave is as, hmm, as dignified as William is (AND he's older than the king?! ohmygod this is a wonderful setup)!

Ugh, I have so many questions!!! I can't really figure out Alexander's intentions, the title and some of the dialog suggest one thing, but then there is the slave tag and the fact that they haven't met before, not mentioning the whole killing the father thing(and the old king didn't sound like a hated monster, so far.)so I am sunk.
Anyway, I am already a fan. It looks like a begining to a great story, with not your typical set of characters, especially with William being so much older. I think You have a good set of writing skills, it is very difficult to write a first person narration a not make it sound awkward or forced, so bravo here!
I have to ask, though, sorry if I am being rude by that - I really don't mean to, but are you commited to finishing the story?I am asking because you mentioned you write for fun and if you have the time( absolutely understandable) and it seems that I have a bad luck of really liking the stories that never get finished, and since I don't like many, it is a pain to get into a story that never gets a conclusion, yeah, I don't know if i am able to pull away from the story now(doubtful, but it would be good to know.

P.S. I keep imagining William as Jon Snow(probably because i have a crush on the actor "rolls eyes")even though he is much to young, but what can i say medieval-like setting and black hair is, it seems, all that i need.
