Why are you doing this to us? Poor Emory - he has to go home to a new nephew who causes all sorts of feelings (namely jealousy but I have a feeling that he os going to dote on him instead) and he has to do it alone. Feels like he is more like Fox then he knows. Something about this reminds me if how Fox was separated from Cyril for all those years.
Emory probably blames himself for Nikita deciding to leave. But I am hopeful and Emory has grown into himself so that he is not so reliant on another for his peace and happiness. And I wonder if Nikita has unresolved issues pushing him into making this decision, beyond wanting to stay with his family. I wonder how Atara is doing. When is the next chapter from his POV coming? It seems like a long time since we got in Atara's head.
NOOOOOOO!!!! What are you doing to poor Emory? The break will kill him more than anything. When does the heartbreading chapters change to light hearted? Actually, that would mean the story was over and I definitely want more!

I love how quickly you update and with quality work too. I think I said this already, but I'll say it again, it's so refreshing and something I can look forward to. :)
So I'm super nervous about the fallout that will occur when the big reveal happens with Nikita's family. And from the sounds of it, I'm not even sure Nikita's father will pledge his allegiance to Emory simply because he's only half human.

Thank you for sharing this with us. This story is captivating, and I love reading each new chapter. I hope Kita's family will surprise him with how supportive they are, but it's just as likely that he's going to need Emory to be the strong one for a change. I hope there is at least one more chapter from Cyril's POV, and of course Atara. There is a sense that the story is coming to a close soon, but I find it hard letting go of this story. I want more.
