This is so gritty and rugged and angsty. Since he was introduced first, it's Noname whose side I'm on at the moment. Though one can't really choose sides in a dark grey world. If good is white, evil is black, and grey's in-between...then, this story's definitely dark grey right now. And I'm unsure as to where it's going yet. We have a 'non-native' indigenous man with a morbid gift and an more ignorant than educated soldier with a morbid beast that serves its own interests above either of theirs. Both men are as stubborn to make peace with one another as their townfolk/tribesmen are. Right now, I fret over them all.

Yay, an update! And an excellent chapter, too. I love Ghost, though pretty nuts what he did. I also like that Phyth did decide to save him. Seems like making a bond with someone is pretty tough, so hopefully he at least values Ghost based on that. Thanks for writing, and hope to see the next chapter soon!

Just found this story, please keep updating. One of my favorite new finds in a while! Appreciate the plots holds together well and no one magically likes each other at first sight. Feel sorry for Python's little ghost about. Using his magic was probably worse for him then being used as a battery.

Love the way the plot is going, and I hope Pyth learns to control his temper when they are out of the strained situation, after all no one wants to date someone who will strangle you for just telling a story :D. Ghost is really starting to grow on me, he's got his own charm and brilliant way of dealing with this whole thing, at least he isn't terribly whiney and angsting all the time.

Can't wait to see how those ravens are associated with Noname. Very intresting chapter indeed.Phyth seems to be showing just a smidge of compassion for Noname.Let's see what happens.
