Thanks for the reply!this clears up few things. I guess I wasn't really seeing Garth and his "friends" as criminals, but more as victims(which they are too, IMO). This chapter though!wow!I CAN see that!I guess I get them, but, boy, they are hard people.
Garth is delusional if he thinks that he can keep this up. He should have just told Oliver that he doesn't belive him to start with, because this charade doesn't really help either of them, but on the other hand I liked him for that, he was trying to make Oliver like him and probably in a way he thought he was being nice or just couldn't say no. It was sweet, I hope he doesn't change into a total asshole and will remember that his bride doesn't really owe him anything.
Anyway, I loove the story, the writing, everything.

Is it very bad of me to find the situation terribly hot?I am a very sick personXDD
I can only imagine the disaster it is going to be when Oliver at some point finds out that Garth was the one to put him in that situation, because I don't think any thanking is going to happen!
I am wondering though, why the freemen can't be together?couldn't they just both work, and see each other on the weekends, or join lands?

Ooooo, I know I'm getting way ahead of myself, but I really want to know how Garth is going to recover from when Oliver finds out what Garth did...

Great start! I feel horrible for Oliver but yet at the same time sympathize with Garth for the loneliness and desperation that causes someone to do anything to simply not be alone anymore. Especially given how he even put on a good suit to impress. I'm torn between sympathizing with Oliver or Garth. Please continue and I hope to read more. Thank you for posting this.

Colour me intrigued. I really like the scenario, it's an interesting twist. Feeling really ambivalent about Garth already, yes, I'm sorry you're here and alone, but you're a criminal and you just screwed over a complete stranger so I can't be too sympathetic... XD Will definitely be reading the next instalment, if you continue!
