Yay! I wonder something. Did you have an ending in mind when you started this, or are you going with the flow? No reason for asking, just curious. I sometimes find when I just go with the flow that plots accidentally happen and suddenly I'm holding on for dear life as a story unfolds with no control from me. Though, when I have a clear ending in mind, they still get away and do their own thing. Maybe my muses need leashes?

Oh my god!!! I knew I had a bad feeling but this really surpasses it!!!! Makva kanb't just die and I have a very bad feeling concerning zeke and Belial too!!!! I really hope Nyk will find something in that book to help all of them!!!! Now you made me soo happy because of the double update and you leave us with such a nasty chliffy!!!! I really hope that the next update will not take so long!!!! I don't think I can stand a long time not knowing if Makva will die or not!!!! Please let him be ok!!!! Safe? SAFE? Nyk's tattoo tried to eat Mavka's common sense, Bel's heart, and Zeke's brain....AND it wanted to dig itself all up into Nyk's spine. That is one nasty curse/spell/thing.
Oh my god that was totally amazing!!!! I really adore this story!!!! I really liked how the spell was so dangerous that erverbody hat to work together to fight it!!!! Busy morning at work, so I have to take advantage of my limited downtime. Yay, I'm almost all caught up! So excited, ha ha.
'Nyklas gazed up at the ceiling as the other two slept, amazed at the turn his life had taken. He was finally safe from the cultists.'
- oooh, actually Nyklas...they're probably looking all over for you still. I wouldn't say you're COMPLETELY safe, persay...And, once again, I just love how Nyklas and Jinx get along so well. It's precious.
'The soothing feeling he always felt when Jinx touched him was there, but there was also something else, now. It felt gentle and clean, like a cool breeze on a spring day after a light rain. Nyklas knew that had to be Mavka. It was refreshing and soothing in a different way than Jinx's touch, but it still felt nice. It felt wonderful actually...'
- Aww, yes. Nyklas needs a little rest and relaxation for sure.
'The vine trembled for a moment, almost throbbing like it had a heartbeat. Then the bud burst open, revealing deeply purple inner petals.'
- Purple! That's why it likes him, hee hee.
"A 'burst of bliss'?" Nyklas asked, looking over his shoulder at the dryad.
"An orgasm." Mavka frowned.
- LMAO!
'The plant seemed quite happy, though, its vines thickening and curling lovingly around the men.'
- It's like "woo-hoo!"
"Sweet boy." The dryad tenderly kissed Nyklas behind his ear. "You'll slay me with that sweetness."
- Be still my heart, Mavka. Best line ever.
'The plant trembled, flowers bursting from every bare section of vine.'
- LMAO! It couldn't take it, it exploded into flowers.
His strength came from his forest, and Mavka didn't just draw his power from the greenhouse. Miles of healthy woodland surrounded the castle. Everything that lived from soil, water, and sun gave the dryad strength.
- That's great! And at the same time, concerning.
'Belial was lounging against Ezekiel, facing them when they stepped into to common room. '
- -happy squirming-
'Nyklas began to respond, but stopped when he saw the look on the angel's face when Ezekiel looked up at him. It wasn't hate in his sparkling eyes, but it was close enough to make Nyklas feel cold.'
- Uh-oh! Drama~ Zeke you need to chill. I love you, you're precious. But, Nyklas is a sweetbum. Maybe if you tapped that bum it you'd feel better.
"All of us, except for you and Zeke, will be heading out into the forest tonight," Mavka told Nyklas. "Belial will be working with his wolves and some of the other animals. I have some plant work to do. Jinx is assisting. Than will be overseeing. All of us will be contributing to strengthening our defensive spells."
Nyklas felt a wave of anxiety rush through him when he heard that he would be alone with the angel so soon.
- HAHAHA! Nyk's like "yall are leaving me ALONE with him? he'll kill me!"
'Nyklas stared up at the tall ceiling as Mavka and Jinx napped, feeling too restless to sleep as well. He couldn't help but feel nervous about the night ahead. The thought of being alone with Ezekiel made him feel cold with dread.'
- Nyk's like 'I'm gonna get shanked up by an angel.'
Incubus 21 -
Thanatos tipped his head over in front of Nyklas so he was looking at the smaller man sideways. The incubus' long indigo ponytail pooled in Nyklas' lap.
"A kiss before I go?" Thanatos' smile gleamed as much as the shining ring in his ear.
- Eeeee -faints- <3
'He lingered on the section about angels, studying the picture of the winged man standing tall and proud. The man was lovely in his own way, but his looks were nothing compared to Ezekiel's ethereal beauty.'
- Yeah, man. So many people were after that poor baby's bum.
'A moment later, his head snapped up. He definitely smelled smoke.'
- Uh-oh! Smelling smoke can't be good! Go look into it!
'The flickers coalesced until Nyklas could make out a huge bonfire, the smoke burning his nose. He was just barely able to focus on it when it faded again, and he found himself back in the room with Ezekiel.'
- Oh, it's a vision! Oh snap.
'The man's hood fell back, revealing sallow skin and hollowed eyes filled with bloodlust. Nyklas knew him. The cult revered him. The Necromancer.'
- Oh you son of a...he needs to go down.
"Are you okay?" The angel asked softly, reaching up to push Nyklas' sweat drenched bangs off his forehead.
- -gushing tears- Zeke, you helped him!
"I was mistaken. You've been telling the truth the whole time. I apologize for doubting you and thinking that you were one of them," he said quietly. "You have no trace of their evil presence inside of you. I see now that you're simply an innocent who was trapped in their ring of evil. And I'm sorry you had to go through what has happened to you, Nyklas..." Ezekiel finished softly.
- -more gushing tears- Zeke...so precious.
"They want you afraid and running. It's like a hunter flushing game. They don't know where you are, and they're getting desperate because they have no trail to follow."
- Exactly! Listen to Mavka! Don't go anywhere.
The angel turned to leave, but paused for a moment before turning back to look at Belial.
"Would- would you like to join me, Bel?" Ezekiel asked softly...
- -fangirl squealing- eeeeeeeeeee
'As an incubus, Thanatos could manipulate power, no matter the source. Ezekiel could shatter death magic and Belial could twist it.'
- Awesome!
Than stroked Nyk's lower back gently where the cult's mark had been inked into the boy's skin. "Perhaps it's time to find a way to get rid of this. It may have helped them find you."
- Great idea!
'Nyklas hesitated, biting his lip. He couldn't understand why he suddenly felt so nervous to be naked around the men he had felt so comfortable with before.'
- HAHAHA, maybe it's cause they're all focusing on your butt!
Wait, so Mavka didn't get to analyze the marking yet?
