Once again awesome, I wonder if I can say that as much as Jack and company all complimented the food at Thanksgiving, lol. Anyway, you continually amaze me with your writing ability keep the story going, it is GREAT!

Fantastic. That's the best way I can describe this story in one word. Throughout all this you'd think Jack would be less of an arsehole to his only remaining friends. This'll hopefully all get sorted in the end. I do have one little itch at the back of my mind though; are Amanda and Alan going to get back together? It seems like you've brought it up quite heavily in this chapter and that Jack doesn't want it to happen. While I understand it's because he's concerned about their future (and their physical well-being around their father) I feel like he should be supporting his siblings against his parents. I would call it a cliche situation, but this is twincest to its anything but. You wrote that they were happy together so I find it a little funny that you'd want to keep them apart, especially since now we've discovered Sam was pretty much only in it for the sex, like all weak minded men.
Oh well, hopefully it all gets resolved and we'l have a big cushy ending that appeals to everybody.

AWESOME!!! Now If Jack has a fractured skull to go along with his whole fractured attitude, it will make thing s so much nicer. Especially since hes become such a DICK! But it looks like you may have set the stage for him to become one of those guys who shows up at school and just starts shooting everyone. Also , whatever happened to the counselor he was seeing about all this kind of stuff...........All in ALL....I' dsay this was a fantastic chapter as it left the reader asking questions, and waiting for answers..........it was well written too. Hurry with the next one.

Hats off to you, Jashley13. You have spent the last year, hell, more than that, to build up something that glues readers to your story. The friends, the events, the relationships that you so carefully and precisely created and were liked/hated by a lot of readers. I hope your dedication to this story sticks to you for a long time. Not everyone would have the courage to ruin everything that they have built up in a year. And you did just that for the sake of making a tale even greater in just one chapter.
For that... well, hats off!

When I say that this is a book I would buy, I am serious.
This is an excellent piece of fiction.
And I feel for Jack a fucking lot.
And Jashley13, thank you for giving me something to read when I am at my most affecting rut.
The world IS breaking around me, and this is one of the anchors that I am holding on to.
I see my real-life Girlfriend in Kayla, her best friend in Tara, my best friend in Rhona.
I know people like Joe, like Craig, like Belle.
My favourite teacher has the demeanour of "bluetooth" Mr. Owens.
I want to know more people, people that I can relate to, people that I can connect with.
You see why this story is so amazing? because you give us people, people that we meet, people that we hope to meet, people that we don't want to meet.
And all those people keep on shifting their roles.
Amazing piece of fiction, this is. Better than any coming-of-age novel I've read.

you do realize that Catcher in the Rye is a great book, right? Salinger was very good. you might also want to read John Gardner's The Wreckage of Agathon or The Sunlight Dialogues if you have a distaste for intellectual, philosophical fiction. Gardner was, perhaps, the best American writer since Poe. his books are out of print now, but can be found at powells.com
