incredible this story keeps me fixed to it every chapter you write just cant seem to pull away until I have read the chapter what a great writer you are please don't stop many thanks

I agree that it is time for Max to either update the fortifications at home or do it at the dude ranch. He could have the spiders do the work as suggested underground with numerous escape routes that can only provide egress not ingress & if you try to enter than you die in various painful ways. There would also be hidden entry points based upon genetics (i.e. living DNA/AI recognition) that way they could come & go in secrecy.
OR you could explain that Max did all of that secretly after the attack while he was at the ranch and that is why the men stayed and kept guard there. It is what made Albert & Jeeves grow closer together by planning all the rooms & services & teaching aids, etc. for the family.
Good story now lets have an all out search as to is behind all of this.

Oh shit !!! Now we have the FBI recognizing something going on. You did NOT disappoint. Just didn't know how you were going to pull Max through. Now having the moles in the FBI computer system is beginning to make sense. Interesting interaction with the AI. Thw trip home should be interesting.

Great now the letter company is going to cause trouble in town. Who do they belong to. Max needs to reinforce the security around the house. I would have most of the house buried below ground and reinforced with about six feet of concrete. Make the above ground a free fire zone if they do not let him alone. He is saving abused children from people in power and now it looks like they are going to take him down with all the force that they can muster in their name to do him and the children harm. Hope not.
Will have to see how you do this part of the story and hope that they make it through it.

Only in the VW are the girls able to age themselves so that they can finally have Max their own and no one will say anything about their ages.
