I loved this chapter bc in feel like we got to hear so much more from Eli. I can't imagine what writing him must be like. He seems very "stream of thought" and I just cannot/have notwill never be able to pull that off, so the fact that you can do a character that way to me is impressive. I feel like your writing is good for where the character of Casey is right now. He's still in his spastic stage so the writing is reflective of his state (not that it's spastic, just nervous like you said... Oh god please don't be offended!) it's when he and Eli start growing together end on their own that will be the challenge. I can't wait to see how it all evolves. I know how vulnerable you can feel as a first time submitter (I have a story that Ral took me away from & I desperately need to go back & a)finish it & b)edit it) but just know as a reader, thanks for sharing Another great chapter. This is a really good story. It reminds a little of that movie Pumpkin. Can't wait for more to see Casey grow up. Sounds like a generally good guy, but a bit of an asshat.
