Wow, I had three great chapters to catch up on, Dee! :)

I can't believe Glenn is such a douchebag that he says it good that Elliot's father is dead now - now they can get back to the investigation. What a horrible thing to say to someone who just lost his father. Even if Elliot and his father didn't have a good relationship; the guy is still his father.

Enjoying the build and recalling that things start to heat up a bit more round about now.

Oh man, poor Elliot. Glenn is the world's biggest asshole. I cannot believe he said Elliot's father should just 'keel over already'. What an asshole! I do remember that from the original though. He has not gotten any nicer in this version. lol

I love the way you write; I can feel the tension in the room when Raul was there demanding more drugs. I was afraid for Marc b/c the detectives couldn't hear what was going on.

Great chapter, Dee! Happy Memorial Day! :)

Even Marc noticed that Glenn now has the upper hand with Elliot.

Another good chapter, Dee! :)

The regular updates are truly welcomed.

Possibly forgotten or misconstrued the personality type that Marc (Michel) possessed in your original story, as this character seems stronger and far less passive, even though he understands the need for compliance at this time. Possibly see a confrontation between the two towards the end of the story – possibly.

Look forward to the next tranche of updates.

Ahhhh, Dee, ya gotta slow down, girl! I can't keep up with you! lol

Glenn is such a piece of work. Instead of working with Elliot, he's working against him.

Ok, on to chapter six. :)

Chapter 7: Frank is such an ass; he doesn't care who goes down, as long as it's not him.

And why was Cole being so nasty? He didn't even want Glenn originating the email from his computer. I'm glad he got suspended, but Elliot shouldn't have. Even Fenwick knows this.

Phew! I'm all caught up now! lol

I say good for Marc for sticking up for himself with Glenn.

I just hope nothing goes wrong when he talks to Frank about the money he promised to Sal.

Thank you for your kind comment. The novels enjoyed tend to contain an element of mystery and always leave room for intuitive analysis of issues and character traits. Your story contains this, in addition to being exceptionally well-written and intelligently delivered.

*********

We are now starting to see the slow build of frustration and rising panic that has crept into the consciousness of Det. Reese. Consequently, having only an immediate outlet (crying) means he continues to simmer in a cauldron of his own thoughts with no resolution.

Absorbing as always.

Strong and deeply absorbing writing as usual especially in the emotional detail, which you deliver very well. Always enjoy reading the way in which you describe the scenes. You have an adept ability at depiction for each new encounter, while never losing the thread or direction of conversation.

Glad to read that Reese still has that air of understanding about him that other’s seem to warm to. His demeanour and ability to ease still remain the foundation of his personality.

Glenn is still outstanding as the person you love to hate.

Always a pleasure to read.
