Lovely one shots - Did enjoy reading about David, who was not the person I originally thought he was, but to me they both seem to be cut from the same cloth.
Maria is great as someone who is there whether you want her to be or not, possibly seeing it as her duty for someone in trouble.
Look forward to Marc and Elliott meeting again and excited by the fact that the last thought from Elliott was seeing Marc again. The question is, what were Marc’s last thought?
Wonderful as always

(25) I'm so glad you decided to continue writing these guys, I like that you're showing us a view of them outside the job and glimpses of a different side to them. It also seems to me that the first couple started off as just these one-shots to give a little background but now they look to actually be forming a storyline :)
I started off looking forward to Glenn's the most because I wanted to see him in a different light and while he may never really act differently, at least in certain situations he can tone it down. As for Elliot he certainly seems to have a complex love life for a guy that seems to be so straight-laced.
I'm sorry it took so long to read and comment on these, it was a computer death that I was dealing with and not because I didn't want to read anymore. Whether they do continue as a story or you just add little one-shots every once and a while when the mood strikes, I'll definitely look forward to reading them^^

Such straightforwardness in the writing makes this more than just simple snap shot. Do hope that we will get a chance to see how Marc is doing in the future and how they feel about each other then.
Thank you for giving the back story to both of the main characters.

Hmmm, ok, so I read the last THREE chapters again! lol
I see that Frank is dead. I guess I was just thinking that he was the suspect that had gotten away. I was wrong. So who got away then? That wasn't mentioned at all. When Elliot asked Maria if they were all in custody she said yes, right? So who got away?
And when Maria left the hospital room before Marc was released something didn't sit right with her and she put it at the back of her mind. What was that?
Ok, I'm going to read the last chapter now. :)

Hmm, I'm still wondering who escaped.
I'm glad Elliot and Marc will stay in contact. It shouldn't be a problem now that Marc isn't working with them anymore.
I really enjoyed this story, Dee. I'm sorry to see it end. You did a great job. :)

I like the ending as it stands. There is nothing convoluted about it. Here are two men who met under circumstances that would defy any tentative relationship. They moved steadily, aiding the sanity of Elliott and providing an outlet for the growing tension of Marc.
Now a juncture has been reached, does it leave room for more? Possibly. But this can also just be an encounter where absolutely nothing comes of it. They meet when they needed each other, reached out, and etched an existence. Now that they don’t have such heavy, weary and uncertain moments ahead, do they have or even need the same connection?
I would like to think it is an authentic ending to a great short fiction.
Thank you for your dedication in completing this story.

(21) While we got to see Elliot talk to Glenn and Marc, it still felt like a fairly open ended chapter without anything resolved. I feel like there should be more, maybe an epilogue but that could be because I want to know what happens. Still this is like life, you just keep moving forward and there's always something going on and another decision to make so it also feels realistic in that aspect. It's an interesting ending but then Elliot throughout the whole story has made decisions that you wouldn't expect him to make so I suppose the ending fits :)
It was nice to get something different like a police drama instead of the standard romance so I really enjoyed reading this^^ Congratulations on finally getting to finish your story :)

Hmmm, I was a little confused; I thought that Frank was the one who got away. I should go and reread that chapter. I thought it was the chapter before this when Maria and Glenn learned that Frank was the one who got away and the others were caught/shot...whatever.
Why didn't Marc try to at least call Elliot when he was able to leave the hospital? I can see him feeling weird visiting him, never knowing if the detectives or Elliot's mom would be there, but shouldn't he at least have called?
Oh, and why did Maria get a strange feeling when Marc said he wished Frank had gone to jail so he would suffer more. It made sense to me; Frank getting killed was too easy - he didn't suffer pain and he would never be tortured in jail. I'd be pissed also.
Can't wait for the next chapter!

Glenn always acts strange and borderline anti-social. Maybe Elliot being shot brought everything into focus for him? Maybe he realized that it could have been him and he feels guilty? Nah, this is Glenn we're talking about. lol
I wish Frank were still alive so he could have become Bubba's bitch in the big house. But who's the one who escaped?

This is the first time reading from chapter 18 onwards. And I am finding this all very beguiling.
Do wonder what has Glenn so ‘misunderstood’. Possibly a little guilt at the way things played out? Did something happen just before Elliott was shot?
The scenes with his mother were perfectly written. Do wonder how the brothers will interact once they meet.
Look forward to when you reveal how Marc really is.
Thank you for your update.
