Omg it was such a touching story. I'm so glad it had a happy ending, or a kind of. I would love to read more about those characters, so if you have thoughts about maybe writing a second volume, know that you already have readers that will make sure to follow :)

This ending is a bit confusing. Where's Alek? Is the cheiftain dead? What becomes of the casino? What becomes of Alek after he killed the dude given that his family had been protecting and serving the cheiftains family for generations. Did Aleks boyfriend know about all that was going on? TThis leaves a bit to be desired

That was such an awesome story and I'm so glad you finished! I've been reading since the beginning and I thought this was a really unique story. Will you be making a sequel? WIll Kolja meet Alec again when he's older?

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! As difficult as this world was to dive into, I'm still going to miss it. You never took it easy on your audience, even to the very end! We don't know how bad the final assault was, or what ultimately happened to the Chieftan, although I'm thinking it's a safe bet that he is no longer among the living. You made such intriguing characters - I especially liked mysterious Alek. You keep calling this a "little story," but it truly verged on epic. It was the type that could have gone on and on, and your readers would never get bored (especially if things had started getting a little better for poor Kolja!). In the beginning, I had thought this was going to be true slash, and had some hopes for Alek and Kolja (a few years in the future - seriously, that boy needs a break!). But you made it clear pretty quickly that Kolja likes girls, and would have even if he hadn't been raped by so many men for so many years. I'd love to see you do a real slash (and maybe something that doesn't twist my insides quite so much?). And I'd LOVE to see a mini-epilogue of Kolja in the future (although it's not really necessary - the wounded little thing is finally getting a soft place to land, to recuperate in any way he can. He'll be such a damaged human being, I'm not sure if I WANT to see his future, because now he's probably going to create a lot of his own problems, since he's not going to have any skills to deal with the damage caused to him. Shit, humans can barely get over a stubbed toe without falling apart! Something like this...? But I'd love to see him magically be one of those people who have such an unblemished heart, that no matter what happens, he still has the ability to love, to heal, and to be happy). So anyway... You, as I've said before, have a huge talent. You made me want to read this horribly painful story. You made it beautiful, despite the horror of it. Your characters, and descriptions, and the fascinating setting, are impeccable. On top of that, your spelling and grammar show care and education (so rare!). AND you FINISHED it! I always dread starting an unfinished story, so thank you, thank you, for staying committed to your audience, and to this world you created. Kolja deserved...no, he needed to be rescued. If this story had hung out there, unfinished, it would almost seem like he was stuck there, in that despicable world.

Bravo, again, for this creation. And thank you for writing it. I'll be waiting for more!

Oh God even you write these chapters with just him a Gulla I am in tears. I don't know what else to say I've said it all before. I really feel like jumping in and scooping him up and taking him home.
You're writing is just so descriptive, I find myself thinking of Kolja sometimes during the day. I really hope he gets a happy ending poor lamb.

I can't believe this beautiful, horrible story is coming to an end!! There's so much depth that hasn't been explored! What about the werewolf? He's such a fascinating character, I think you could write an entire story about him. We haven't even learned what that whole werewolf thing's about! I'm just hoping there's going to be some hope for Kolja soon, and some cruel justice for the chief. I'm also hoping there are at least five or ten chapters to go still... Well, even if it's just two, this has been a story that's utterly blown me away. I will read anything you write! Oh...and just because I love pimping awesome authors to each other, have you read any of Cordelia Kingsbridge's stories? I believe she's posted them on this site, but she's also on fictionpress.com. I will be pimping this one to her, of course (I'll be pimping it to my own readers, too...with a serious warning for the triggers. This story is really hard to read - I feel utterly emotionally battered. But your style...And the fact that it IS so messed up...you turn something ugly into art). Anyway, hope to see the next chapter soon. I'm glad Kolja has a few moments of normalcy, a calm place to escape to once in a while. I want him to find that forever!

Amazing story. My heart breaks for Kolja and I hope to see him free and living happily with the Andersens. I look forward to terrible things happening to the Cheiftan. Thank you for the story. xoxo Robin

I might have said this before once or twice but love the way you write. It's so descriptive. My heart was pounding when Charley had Kolja and I'm really hoping that there is a happy ending for the kid and that you don't end up describing how he felt when he was dying because at this point I have no idea. I have an idea where I would like this story to go but weather or not we share the same idea remains to be seen.

So glad that Alek arranged that meeting for Dec 23rd. That was very sly. :D
When I see a new chapter I get excited but I have to work up to reading it. When I do read it I feel sick to my stomach because as I said you're so descriptive and you manage to draw me into the story so I feel like I'm there.

I like the story a lot. It's very interesting and different then most reads. The only question I have is if their gonna be any particular love interest for our young gypsy kid? Like is he gonna age during the story to start having a love interest? Based off what I read so far, Alek seems unlikely.
