Thanks for the update! This chapter was definitely a "cool down" chapter, after all the drama that's been happening, Ant has had a somewhat normal conversation with Peter. I do feel kind of bad for Peter now, I guess three years is enough to make anyone do anything to obey. It is kind of amusing to imagine that Richard got so fed up with trying to sell Peter, that he just ended up keeping him, but I'm sure Peter had a hard time of it. I really like how you write dialogue, especially Peter and Ant... I'm guessing you're British? On that note, one tiny critique, Richard is written so well, but some of what he says sounds more British than American to me. Stuff like when he says he'll be "cross", just sounds a bit British to me. But I can also imagine that Richard's work is so, well, international, and he speaks regularly with people coming from all backgrounds of English ability and accent, so maybe his style of speaking has adjusted. Not a big deal though and definitely doesn't throw me out of the story or anything. Vitor seems pretty scary, too, I wonder if we'll meet him. And Ant is pretty ballsy, even to think about escape right after he was raped, but I can understand wanting to get out before things get worse. It just doesn't seem like he'll have much luck. After all the abuse and seeing the hanged corpse and being raped and electrocuted, I'd probably do whatever the heck they told me to do, at least for awhile. And Peter says Richard only had him raped right away because he must have pissed him off. Ant doesn't seem to have a great survival instinct around Richard, lol. Hope to see more of this story soon! Still adoring it.

Wow! I just found this. Terrifying and amazing. Thanks for the amazing work. I love Ant! He is so sweet, and admirable. I hope he gets out of this mess somewhat in tact. It is horrible that I ship Ant/Richard/Peter? I think it is... But the feels are there. Maybe he will get another owner? Hopefully I will dislike them, I don't want to like someone who would be pro-slavery... Yet... I opened the story, so...

Ooh, was so exited to see that this was updated again! And wow, what a frightening chapter. I was kind of shocked when Ant was raped at the end, for some reason I thought Peter was implying that Richard was going to wait to do that, or do it himself. But Richard remains as coldly thorough and enigmatic as ever. This might be because the narration follows Ant's perspective, but it seems like Richard has a special interest in Ant. Since Peter is Richard's slave, I wondered if Ant was similar to Peter, and that attracted Richard to Ant? But it's hard to tell, Richard is probably acting like that around all the new slaves. And if this was the training for all the new slaves, well, seems like the purpose is really more to break them down than to help them gently transition (poor Hugo especially, he's way too young for this! :( I hope he at least is able to escape soon). Anyway, pretty terrifying rape at the end, with the random guard doing it. Seemed so much more cruel and methodical, the way it happened. Richard is such an asshole, but I just love how evil you write him. His scenes are so heart pounding.

Also, I had to wonder if those were actually Ant's shoes... lol. It'd be really unfortunate if he made a mistake and stole someone else's shoes. Still, that jerk bumped into him, probably guilty? Haha. Ant also is running a pretty high risk for getting sick - drinking dirty water from outside, for one, and then he hasn't eaten properly in days. Even last chapter when he ate, didn't seem like he ate much. Now would probably be the worst time to get sick, or, uhh, a really bad case of diarrhea. Lol I joke - well, not really - but thanks for another awesome chapter!

No poor Ant I feel so bad for him =( love your story though it's very interesting. Keep up the good work!
