I don't know what else Formosus wants Quintus to do to prove how much he does love/care him. He's really messed up. I am worried about when Quintus takes Formosus for his appointment with Nero whom I am sure will take a great interest in Quintus' Celt.

Looks like Marcus is falling for Formosus. Also I think as well that his master does really care for him a whole lot and Formosus is just not seeing it. But who really knows right now it's still early in the story :) .

This story is giving me the chills again like what you did in The Assistant. Whoaa... I don't ever want Formusos to be cheating the senator. I just feel like murdering Marcus! Sigh*

Ohh, I sure am excited to see where you are going with this. All of your characters are so detailed, and I really feel for the slave. I love that you gave him a bit of a vain side. I'm not sure what I am wishing to happen at this point, so cudos to you for leaving me on the edge of my seat. More please :)

I wish there were more stories set in the Roman Empire era here and am happy you are writing one. I wonder who the man is in Formosus's nightmare. I hope Quintus never sells him. I am looking forward to more of this story.

Very intriguing first chapter. I look forward to more. You did a very good job of painting a picture of the master slave relationship. I hope to learn of what is really going on in the slaves head.
