I usually never visit this site, but then I saw someone recommending this in the-slash-pile. Thank God he/she did, I finished it in like 1 day! I love it, great job! And thank you for writing!

So I read your story between yesterday and today and figured I may as well leave a final comment long enough. My only complaint with the story is that I felt the roman and the slave –because I can’t write their names, too difficult—passed more time apart than together. I really liked it, yes, but I would have liked to see more of them as couple, being lovely dovely… even right in their old years, I think we needed to see more of them being happy. The epilogue was a nice touch but it could have been longer (?) to me it was little bit rushed (?) and the second one was good too –I got somehow confused at the ending, thought perhaps the spirit of the slave had stayed in the garden to custody the statues but it seems not (?)
Aside from that, as I said before it was good –very well written, with a good plot and enough drama. I really liked both of the main characters to the point I didn’t had a favorite (and I usually do when I read original works) so that speaks highly of you. They were equally likeable, and neither of them got on my nerves.
This story is a fine example of “you don’t know what you have until is gone” and I think you worked well enough with it. Your characters were really in love with each other and their love was –while sometimes lacking in communication—to me very healthy.
I thank you for writing this and I can say to you it was worth my time. You should really write another Roma (historical piece), it would be very good.
Also as funny fact I almost dropped it after seeing the roman had died. I thought you intended for the slave to end up with the sculptor… and I already liked the roman too much and didn’t like the sculptor much, so I’m glad it wasn’t the case.
Also I’m curios the roman seemed to know about the kisses… did he saw them or what? Someone told him?
Anyway, very good work! Keep writing!
Have a nice day <3!

Woah, this is getting worse by every chapter --for the sleve. A mistake after another. But I do like drama. I'm really liking your story so far!

I can't believe I just had the time to check and finish reading this story. Oh my god! I wasn't expecting the ending to be like that. You made me cry sooo much! Specially that scene when Quintus died and Formosus sat by his side and rested his head on his lap and put Quintus' hand his own head just like they do on their younger days. I just can't stop crying on that part. Aulus too after Junius' death and standing and leaning at the wall feeling like a Praetorian guard once again. But they all lead a long wonderful and happy life. And their all together now :) I know it'll take some time for me to move on from this story. Your stories always seem to do that to me. Not that I'm complaining. :D
Thank you for sharing the wonderful story of Formosus and Quintus and their friends. You said you'll be writing one shots from this right? I'd definitely love to read those!
P.S. isolovesj here by the way. I changed my name, I don't know if you remember me though. hehe
PSS.. Damn! I just can't take Quintus and Formosus out of my mind! Specially with those last scene!

I found the ask me anything but almost couldn't find it because it looked like a symbol with three horizontal lines in the upper left hand corner of page that you have to click first and then it's one of three options to choose from! I read First Times! Quintus and Titus Cassius! I never would have imagined that happening, lol. I liked it though! Oh, and Formosus and Brigo that I really liked reading. Seeing Formosus in his own land as a youngster but then having to kill that broke my heart even though I know it had to be done. It shows he had the strength even then although his heart wasn't in it. Tear jerker that was. Oh, well, the ask me anything doesn't work without signing in (if you are a member) or having to sign up for an account. I think you can fix that! I follow two other authors with tumblr and don't need a tumblr account to ask them a question or leave a comment! Oh well, I did try, lol.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that the Roman who Formosus strangled to death kind of reminded me of a young version of Quntius with the black curls did you do write it that way on purpose?

OMG! I just realized you added another new chapter before the epilogue!
I don't think you could have done a better job and am happy you posted new chapter because I finally got to use my box of kleenex.
I will be watching your blog too.
