I really like this story and am looking forward to the next chapters! The phase of development is usually very good, you always have outer and inner conflict going on and the characters seem genuine, if not a tad bland. I would however strongly suggest for you to rewrite the first chapter, which in contrast to the rest of the story seems pretty rushed. Adding a bit more information on how those guards had tortured Dara and how his life in the barracks had been would be much appreciated and make the ex healer a more relatable character. ^^

I was kind of hoping to see Nolen suffer more haha, but well... i can't have everything in this world :P I find your concept of healing abikities very intriguing. Is it common knowledge that healers need support and kindness for their abilities to work? Why was Dara so brutally treated after that incident that made him lose his powers then? It could have helped him gain back his powers, rather than condemning him to being a low-ranking slave - seems like it might have been better than wasting all those years of training.
Please write more of this :))

Excited by this new chapter! I really like brayan and bug's relationship. They're adorable and bug is getting just what he needs and that's wonderful!
Maric, on the other hand, was frustrating this chapter and I hope that the distrust and fear that he inspired in Dara comes back to haunt him for a while. TOTALLY not cool and he should learn that lesson painfully (and by that i mean seeing Dara fear his reactions and restraining himself again to not make Maric upset). Looking forward to the next one!

I'm always happy to see an update on one of your stories...they never disappoint. I would love to read the extra scene, but I haven't figured out hoe to navigate Tumblr yet. I am working on it, though.

I really liked this chapter. Poor Dara and Bug, but that had to have looked pretty suspicious walking in on a scene like that. I'm also happy to see Bug well situated and in a much better place. Keep up the entertaining work. I look forward to reading more.
