Oops. Why did Danya's shield fail?

The young slave Kin was depressing. But Lucas seems an odd but intruiging sort. Were the humans essentially like his parents, part of an anti-slavery group?

I hope danya will be ok = / and I hope this event will help Simon realize that they could work if he just gets over his predisposition. He really cares about him lol. Will lucus, kin and tryn become part of the group as well?

YEA more slaves freed! I hope Simon realizes that Danya is more valuable then he's admitting to himself! I hope Lucas gets to find some love after all he's been through and I hope Kin can keep his mouth shut and suck it up because I get the feeling that he's the one that's going to blow it for everyone else... Oh poor Danya. Simon is punishing himself as much as he is punishing you. At least he tried to explain his rationale.

What will happen with the group now? Will their plan succeed? I'm sure Simon is going to hate selling Danya even if it's to benefit the mages... What if it backfires and doesn't go the way they want it to?

You probably dropped readers because of the length of time between updates. And depending on when you post, it shows up for people near the top of the page when they jump on the page. I wouldn't be doubting your story. It's good, very good. The whole freeing the slaves part of the story has been coming for a long time. At a reader, I'm cheering Danye and Simon on, slave or no slave. Actually, I really enjoyed the depth you added to the story with this newest chapter, because it helps us understand even more the struggle Danye and Simon are going through, just how different their relationship is. Looking forward to the next chapter!

Lol! yes...yes you did free more slaves in a slavefic...a few and sooooooooo many still not free...
