I really enjoy this. The characters are fun and the story is cute and it's set in my mom's home state which makes it awesome. My one problem is with the tailor. I worked as a seamstress and sales clerk for a couple of different designers until last year. I still have my own clientele, although I've cut down since I'm teaching. If I was half as unprofessional as that guy was when working in a shop, I'd have gotten the talking-to of my life and would never have been allowed to work with clients again. It's more than taboo to talk about other clients in more than just a vague way and making sexy undergarments for a client without their approval, unless it was underpinnings that were needed for the garment to look right, is downright creepy especially if the client was still a minor. It would also surprise me greatly that Corbin's measurements hadn't changed much from when he was barely past puberty. That's when boys grow the most. One designer I worked for made costumes for a youth theatre company and the boys' bodies would be completely different a month after fittings. Even in adults, this holds true. Corsets are harder to fit than most regular clothing, too, since the measurements have to be precise for it to be comfortable and for it to sit right. I speak from experience, I've made several. Also, generally speaking, when grading a shirt pattern when you make it larger you also make it longer. So men who are tall but slim in the shoulders usually have more trouble finding a shirt that's long enough, but guys who are tall and have the shoulders to match usually do not have this problem. However it might not fit wonderfully at the waist, but that's an easy fix.

Anyway, I get where you were going with that. I mean it's cute that the tailor is trying to set them up and all, but as someone who worked in the field for nearly a decade, his attitude made my hair stand on end. If I were Corbin, I'd fire the guy and go to a tailor who didn't wax poetic about his delicate measurements (I mean even in patternmaking school where we all knew each other we were leery about having our measurements announced) and secretly make him sexy lingerie and comment about how delectable he'd look in them...

That was so sweet of Cole to even notice what Corbin was doing (reading). Kendrick's adorable and I can see Corbin getting real comfortable with him. :)

And now Ewan's having lustful thoughts of Corbin. lol ;)

Blanche - I did mean to wish you luck with the therapy on your wrist. At least you know now what it is. I hope all goes well with it.

Thank you so much for how you wrote this chapter. I really can't tell you how much I appreciate the conversation about consent between Corbin and Dare about the bathroom incident. It honestly made me feel so much better that Corbin addressed how he felt about the situation and then said what he would do if things had gone differently. Also, I really appreciated Ewan's reflections on the incident. The part where you said that he had seen fear, shame and arousal on Corbin's face and hadn't wanted to receive that particular reaction was particularly gratifying.

But the other parts of Ewan's recollections on the bathroom incident were.... gratifying for other reasons :-) what a good chapter! Ewan wants Corbin. I'm so glad things are moving along for him.

Corbin spending Christmas with Cole and Dare was adorable. I love hearing about those two. They were great to Corbin and just what he needed, love and affection. I thinks it's amazing how one person can change alife and effect a generation. I think that in Corbin's life, a little understanding and love could go a long way. I love his character so much. I want to hug him.

I can't wait for Corbin and Ewan to meet again! Thank you for finally posting! ! ! I can't wait for more!

I hope you begin feeling better soon. I have a friend who had carpal tunnel surgery and she couldn't type or text for 2 weeks, but it made a huge difference in her pain so it was worth it. I hope you can successfully and effectively treat it!

I'm sorry for your carpal tunnel. The update was good. It felt like you were setting up the story for the next phase in the story. I still don't have a clue what the possible tension is going to be. There is the whole racism thing but normally that's not enough for a good climax in the story.

Hope therapy goes well.
