First off, this is a wonderful story, with detailed imagery and likable characters.

With the exception of Dustin's Dad.

It's one thing to be driven by science and exploration, but it's quite another to act like a complete monster to your son. Especially when said son isn't accustomed to your way of life.

Here's hoping that he has an untimely demise~!

Thanks for update, i wish Burout will be able to change Dustin's fate bevor his father destroy him. I think their World needs a change, not all people are happy, maybe when his father dies, Dustin can change that.

Hope that Dustin will be saved from his really cold father! Wow, so glad I didn't have a father as bad as that! You've done such a great character development for Dustin's dad as a "villain." Dularse has also been a real jerk to his own verlon as well. I'm one of the people who hopes that someday this system of the domination of nelro over verlon ends. Thanks for the great story!

Ahhh you got Dustin!! And hope that meal turns out *fantastic* so that they all can literally, and figuratively, eat it! haha :) Give those nay-sayers the business!

I did not know I could hate so much. I wish I could do to Dustin's father everything that he would hate the most and that I could collar Dustin's "owner" and lead him around like a dog after force feeding him something that would blister his mouth and throat

I don't read alien fics very often

but this is different or... at least I thought it was different

Is Dustin a strong or weak character? because I can't tell the difference

is he a solider and a pilot or is he a submissive sextoy? Verlons are clearly seen and not heard and basiclly neutered.
Serout is clearly the best choice you given him as verlons are basically sex slves chained up in a paranoid schizophrenic's basement in the name of "safety" The whole thing reads like a prisoner with stockholm syndrome. Dustin can't even defend himself or else he'll be punished. His family is far worse, the whole Qualar culture shown thus far makes them completely unsympathetic.

Burout says he's trying to understand Dustin but hands out punishment like candy at halloween. He clearly doesn't understand personal bounderies at best and is completely uncaring at worst. Is dustin a sentient sex object to him or is he a person?

There is a certain point where a human being will rebel and chapter seven is at that point.As throwing a human into a container with fluid filling up ( making it breathable was brillant) in the name of medical scanning without his consent is basically a form of torture
Dustin has every right just to murder his way out and be perfectly justified. Hell humanity would be justified in sending an armada in an orbital bombardment.


His father clearly learned nothing while on earth because one of the basics of human life is consent. He clearly doesn't see Dustin as a person more like a living object. It would be better if the real footage was releashed. Have the entire world see it from Dustin's point of view. Even the highly disfunctional Qualar must see how messed the entire situation is.

Ok, after Chapter 7 I can really say that his father is a complete @$$hole! He has absolutely no feeling what so ever towards his son or his concerns. If I saw someone in that state I would assume they had a phobia, and phobias aren't just "Oh its nothing." there called Phobias for a reason!

Ok Dad better get whats coming to him eventually!!!!

Loving chapter 6, and I so can't wait for 7. I'm so glad we had that little discussion about punishments when you were writing this!!!!
For those gasping at the screen, yes I know the author very well, we do a lot of writing together and use each other as a sounding board for certain ideas.
Though I promise even I don't get sneak peaks of the new chapters (dramatic sigh). Can't wait for chapter 7!!!!!!
