Finally! An attempt by Dustin to flee his captors, and yes that is exactly what they are. Hopefully we get to see him use his martial prowess as a soldier come to for. I have read a few story series like this in the past, both here on FF.net and other places. The problems between them were always the same, characters with conflict that, within a few chapters turn into one-dimensional cardboard cutouts of what was promised initially. The characters always became unrealistically, and frustratingly, lovey-dovey with endless professing of their undying love. Fine for the end of a series but mind numbing for the beginning. As for bringing humans to their world to enslave them, sure that is a swell plan. . . until the humans begin to outnumber them. How arrogant can you be to not understand that in human history, bad things happen to those minorities that abuse their power over an oppressed majority. Humans are a very scary group of people. Best to leave things well alone.

Oh wow I am glad I found this story!! It's been one hell of a whirlwind of emotions. I've read your other stories, and though the genie one has piqued my interest, I just can't get enough of this one. Hope you update soon!! :D

Chapters 1-8. Wow. You've an awesome way of drawing the reader in with your story. You are now on my recommended author's list and this story is going to be on my recommended reading list. Gah... Dustin should honestly just give them the silent treatment. They can't be bothered to listen to him? Why bother talking at all. They can make him scream or cry, but they don't deserve another word out of his mouth. His father is just...horrible. Maybe he isn't the worth person ever, but he is ruining his son's life.
