I'm so sad that it's over but OMG, what a ride! This chapter in the life of Exit and the boys was magnificent. I was a little nervous about what Exit was going to do, but thankfully you didn't leave us hanging. Good luck with your next project, I'm looking forward to it!

Hey, I'd love it if Exit ends up with Jack, too. They're each other's first and longest love. But it seems Exit's love for Jack has been diminishing and his love for Topher is going strong.

I can't help noticing how Exit has more than once had negative feelings about Jack and his actions (Exit's resentment of Jack for leaving him in the orphanage; Exit hating being picked up, which Jack did more than once; Jack's murder of Father Frederick--I wouldn't be objective enough to use the word "murder" if I were in love; Exit hating the gun Jack gave him for protection; Exit's anger at Jack for scaring Topher in Taspat; Exit's fierce objection of Jack's method of disposing of their attackers; Exit's anger at Jack for "causing" Topher to run away in Redhill; etc.)

In contrast, Exit is obviously closer to Topher. From their bantering to little talks to Exit's feeling of love for Topher (I recall twice Exit wanted to show "how much I love him" to Topher and none to Jack in Exit From the City) to their life-and-death experiences in Nightport, the Empress, Taspat, the road to Redhill, and I'm sure in the next few chapters on Rufus's island. I don't think I could forget about a person I love when I'm making love to another person I love when he is right there near me, like how Exit forgot Jack was there when he was doing it with Topher in their roadside camp on their way to Surosa.

I can't help feeling that Jack is merely some tool to move the plot or to placate certain readers (Get back to your military base, now Topher and I can be together all the time; Surosians hate you, go somewhere else so Topher and I can face whatever together; Get arrested, now Topher and I can rescue you together; Get pissed with Topher and stomp ahead, now Topher and I can face the creepy girl together; Get battered and hospitalized, now I can rescue Topher without you...)

I'm big on first love, especially love at first sight, forbidden love, and undying love, all of which fit Jack and Exit. But the plot leaves little doubt that Topher will be with Exit yet the same can't be said about Jack.

Only few chapters left? Oh no! Because i like exit so much n i will definetlly miss him. Honestly im kind of hoping that exit ended only with jack, because i hate to share love to someone else, i think love is mutual feeling of 2 person.. And if exit ended with capt quin, he had to share with raff too.. But then again poor topher.. Maybe exit can go to bryne instead, he's definetly will b a spoiled boy.. You are one of my fav writer on AFF. Keep rockin!!!
