I love this story so far. And I feel so sorry for Ian, to lose so much and no one really caring if this messed with his mind or not. And I wonder what Aeron would do or say for that matter, when he finds out just how Ian found out about the mate thing. Will there be fireworks of anger or self loathing, or a sicking sinking feeling other an anger? It's hard to say Aeron just feels like the kind of guy you love to hate.
I am going to keep an eye out for this story! And thank you, for sharing this tell with everyone, I truly enjoyed reading it!

I absolutely adore this story. It's my favorite on the entire site. I went and read the story you said inspired this one, I think it's called Inside Out, or something like that. Anyways, it was alright, but honestly, it was a chore to get through it. I guess maybe it's because after reading yours, it seemed not as well done. Your story telling is better, the way you take a few ideas from your inspiration, and take them in whole different directions is very well done. I've read Unwanted Mate multiple times, I even have it saved on my Kindle so I can take it with me wherever I go. Your characters are beautifully created, and it makes me feel for them. The only complaint I have with this story, is that there isn't more of it. I'm addicted to it, and can't wait to see what happens next. Please, please keep going.

I'm wary of writing this on a review in which other readers read other's reviews (either out of camaraderie, curiosity, or making sure they don't repeat other's statements...). But, my feeling of gratitude towards you is so strong right now, that I'm going to go ahead and write it anyway.
You see, my heart's been recently torn asunder...I've lost a couple of close friends and a love interest. I have neglected the few friends I do have in the process. I usually write as therapy to alleviate such heartache, but last night I had no access to neither my computer or a pad of paper. I was sleeping in the floor of the living room with family members occupying my own room.
I had no way to distract myself from the pain, I couldn't even bring myself to play a game on my handheld. Then, I thought to just re-read this story, as whenever I read it I become lost in its own little universe. Sure enough, there was a new chapter that I somehow completely missed that was updated weeks ago. I ate the chapter up and it made me forget all about my own aches, enough that I could finally get some sleep.
So, there you have it. I read the new chapter on my handheld (a big feat for me as I'm an oldschool person with very limited technology to begin with)...and it gave me peace. Thank you.
As for the chapter itself, I pray that Aeron doesn't lose the hope and determination he seems to have and keeps trying. I like that he's been giving Ian some room to breathe and a little slack. Showing trust is the first step to gaining trust, so I hope that Ian learns to trust him even if just a little more. Though, I don't know where that stranger is going to fit into all of this or if Aeron will completely flip his lid because of the kiss.
I want to read more regardless of what happens.
