Oh, you weren't being condescending at all. xD I was just really insistent on trying to call it first. That, and I apparently have a bad habit, I'm noticing, where my reviews/comments on things come out sounding way different than intended. Tone doesn't seem to really show well over the internet. :P

Love that Kore and Deyja seemed to have at least some form of a friendly moment (few hours) there at the end~ Definitely shows promise.

And I can't necessarily say I'd catch too many other myth references. As much as I like myths, I'm not as knowledgeable in them as I'd like to be. D:

Oh my gosh! I am sorry for making it seem like you had to update quicker and I completely understand work and family comes first to writing. Please take your time and don't rush this because it's too good and I am enjoying the way the story is unfolding the way it is. I just get frustrated with other authors who lure you in and then leave us hanging for months and even years to update if at all.

I am curious as to what happened to Mrs. Martzia's son and the story behind the cloak of his she gave to Kore to wear. I feel like Kore is starting to fit in with Deyja's household and am happy he made friends with Byart and to some extent the other boys. I hope Deyja's brothers, Heill and Myrr, are alright and nothing bad happens to them because I think it would greatly upset Deyja if he lost them. I know Kore is worried about upsetting his parents but think he is better off where he is now and is happier too. I hope it's not Kore's father causing problems for Deyja's brothers.

Thanks for updating! I love this story and how Kore and Deyja are forming a sort of friendship first before they fall in love. Which I hope they do eventually, LOL.

Oh, and for some reason there is something about this story that brings to mind the classic literary novels, Jane Eyre and Rebecca, as well as Frenchman's Creek by Daphne du Maurier. I don't know why but think it's the lonely life Deyja lives which reminds me of the main protagonists and their loves of those novels.

OMG this made my day when I saw that you updated. This is one of the best stories I've read in a very long time. Really love your writing style and the characters. Very excited for the story to continue.

Keep up the good work =)

I am glad this is not a rape fic and that they haven't jumped right into bed or fallen in love right away. I like the fact that Deyja is giving Kore options of what he can or can not do. I am glad he has a fondness for gardens and herbs thanks to his mother and believe that his calling might be to become a healer. I love this story and my only fault is that I wish you would update more frequently.

I'm still reading the third chapter, but I finally got home to my computer so I can post a review just so I can say what myth this is based off of. :P

It's based off the Hades/Persephone myth, and I absolutely love it. I guessed it right off the bat when I started reading it, and I just kept noticing you asking if anyone knew which one it was based off of. c:

And I like the way you're doing it so far. I don't really care how loosely it follows the myth, if you even choose to keep it going in the same direction, because I just like what you've done with it so far~
