Glad you posted again, I was missing this! Very interesting that Abe no Seimei thinks so highly of Saionji's abilities. Seems to be suggesting that, because of the additional training in Western Magick, Saionji is more skilled than Abe! But I'd wager that if Saionji ever needed help, Abe could handle the task. Can't wait to see how Kanada and Saionji are going to fit together! And who is this Azrael dude everyone is so afraid of? Excellent writing, as usual, and a great unfolding plot.

Kind of a slow chapter, but that's fine, we needed some more back story filled in. I'm hoping for a romance between Saionji and Kanada, well, as I live for slash, but the story is fascinating on its own merits about life in the Otherworld. Both men seem lonely, even though they have family members around. Now I'm anxious to meet the one for whom Kanada will be an Avatar. Excellent writing, as always! Keep on with this!

Wow, what a back story on Kanada! But such a strong life force! Aside from being handsome, it is easy to see why so many in the afterlife are attracted to him. What happens when the bad wife dies and has to face those who know about her foul deeds? Does she go to a different place? I am also confused about how Kanada's daughter got there before him. Well, great chapter, getting very interested in this plot. Thanks for continuing, Darkephoenix!

I thought I knew where this story was going when I read chapter one, and didn't think it would be my cup of tea. But with chapter two I realize I DON'T know how it is going to unfold and I have been reminded of this author's formidable writing talents, especially when it comes to bringing characters to life and making you care about them. Darkephoenix is a master at the nuanced dialogue. These men, though dead in the story, are alive, and at least one has his chest heaving with exertion. Nice! But I think it's going to be their keen intellects that really make them shine in this work. On board for the journey, Conductor, though destination still unknown!
