Your story seems very interesting but it jumps around alot. The switching of the point of views like that s very confusing and is a little frustrating to keep up with. You should slow it down and switch point of views half way through the chapter if you want both views in one chapter.

Maybe the reason why Jax's brother died is also because he used that book I mean it's a book of dark magic right. So maybe it's along the lines of a life for a life in order to bring Hayden back from the dead?

It was good just seemed a little all over the place... I mean I didn't realize he had any piercings and nobody noticed he was a demon? OH but I was glad of the mention of him not quite having enough money to cover a whole lot but true he's worth it!
