Amazing story -- I am so glad I found this! I love Nathanial/"Mick"...his inner monologue is adorable, and the way you described his abilities was beautiful and brought forth a wonderful mental image of something that I cannot imagine is easy to describe. It's also nice that he's not super in love with himself...a great deal of first-person pov stories end up with their protagonist sounding terribly narcissistic and self-involved, but you've avoided that perfectly, making "Mick" just lovable.
I'm also very fond of Guy, which I wasn't sure I would be when you first trotted him out...his demeanor makes loads more sense, now that it's clear that he's a wolf and some kind of bodyguard. (As a complete side note, I really enjoyed the surprise presence of werewolves in the story...I don't know why, but I was expecting "Mick's" gift to be the only supernatural element in the mix, and it was a nifty twist to see that I was wrong. Plus, I love werewolves, if they're done right. And I love the way you've described them so far.) He's extremely enjoyable, too, since you explored his personality a bit more and showed that he has a sense of humor. Plus, the way he pounced all over little Nathanial was just awesome.
I can't wait to see where you go with this. Please please please, keep writing!
