What a terrible greedy doctor! He can't even allow Daine to settle in before attacking him. I wish the captain or someone else would come along to save poor Daine. Maybe the jealous Reece will show up. For some reason I like Reece even though he has been behaving so badly. I can't wait to read more. Lovely story.
