Nicely done! You painted wonderful pictures with words.

This was a bittersweet and evocative tale, and one that will stick with me for a long time. For someone who hasn't had the joys of snow among his life experiences, you do describe it very well, particularly the sensation of being sandblasted by blowing snow. That's precisely how I'd put it.

Perhaps the afterlife wouldn't be so awful if you could live in such happy memories. I think I'll ponder that fragile hope for a while. :)
