I think you did a good job articulating Eowhyn's real problem: she's still a child. Eowhyn was right when she said that she was just a product of her environment and now she's still allowing her environment to control her.Even when she first arrived at the Butlers, she assimilated very quickly (almost too quickly) and all of her old values went right out the window. In fact, considering how fast she fell for Court and the fact that for most of the story Court has been an asshole/rapist, I believe that she fell "in love" with Court b/c she was lonely in this new world. I believe that what Eowhyn is feeling right now isn't a broken-heart, it's loneliness...without Court constantly around her she has to fend for herself and up until now, she has yet to do that...she'd rather deal with Court's abuse, extreme affection, and crazy mood swings than be by herself, which is obvious from the way she ran over to Gabriel's house after their fight.

Eowhyn thinks that the "new" her wants to be bad but that's because it's easier for her to immerse herself in the darkness than to acknowledge the values that have stayed with her - despite her best attempts to bury them. Eowhyn needs to try to find herself, and stop being so easily swayed by what happens in her environment (i.e- trying to be "layered" and "alluring" like the other Butlers) b/c it'll swallow her up. She definitely needed some cabin time, lol

Anyways, where the chapter is concerned, there was a bit too much angsting about Court for my taste, lol, but I loved the scene with the ghost of her grandmother...very creepy and I loved the dialogue...and if you ever happen to write a story about Gabriel, I'll be forever in your debt ;)

You had to make Gabriel into a drug dealer just to prove what Courtland said bout him was true "REALLY", that he's no good. Neither is Court. I still think Gabriel is better then Court. The whole family has something evil that they seems to do. Sadly Eden wanting to be a "bad girl" and changing from that sweet girl we first knew into another sad addicted and know good "Butler". Eden seems to change and not wanting to know the bible and the morals her grandad taught her seems to be because of how mad and jealous Courtland was because her grandad was still number one in her thoughts. Who are those guys that Gabriel took Eden with him to see, were they family and clients too. And I wouldn't be surprised if Gabriel did mess around with one of the guys. Liked the last part this chapter best, can't wait until the next update. Thanks

I hope that Eowyn show some backbone, and give a lesson to her brother and her father who just give her a credit card and leave her alone Knowing that she does not have any friends. She is much better that Court. And sometthing more I am looking forward your next chapter!

A Note Before the Reviews:
First off I have to say I hate when life gets in the way of reviewing but I really hate when it gets in the way of reading, especially you Miss Camp! So please accept my humblest apologies. So I finished ch’s 26 & 27 but before I write this one I am curious and I have to read the reviews, I love reading the reviews whether I agree with them or not I love to know others thoughts. I hope I’m not alone in reading your reviews because there really are some brilliant ones out there shout outs to follow: Merun, lalaland22, and newbie Alaska92. Then you have the constant loyalist of inthemood & ljhelm49 (Linda). Inthemood you make me smile with you’re never ending faith in Gabe and never waning hate of Court.

I know I am mildly obsessed with you I found you on fanfiction and followed you to TWCH and now here at your current home, I will most definitely follow you to the book stores (and I can’t wait!). I love that I feel you’re my own personal secret but I am also glad others have discovered you as well. Sharing is caring (well at least that’s what Barney says).

I thought I’d also take a minute to say how awesome it is that you have OVER 10,000 hits and over a 125 reviews!!!!! I know you get frustrated and are hard on yourself but know we love you and are there for you. You have wanted to walk away so many times but the writing won’t let you, never put a restriction on yourself update once a month, once a week, or once a day.

Okay my soap box is creaking so I guess it’s time to get off of it and write those reviews I do so enjoy doing.

CH 26:
That was horrendous to witness Court peeking into Eowyn’s soul but it was also as fascinating as Hell. I thought for sure when Court discovered all the things that keep her from him he would destroy them, I don’t know it that would affect her memories but it would certainly hurt her soul, I was very surprised that Court showed the restraint. Neither Court or Gabe are good guys but the bad boys are always more attractive, and I was glad Eowyn was honest in tell Court why she favors Gabe and in Court’s mind he is completely in the right. I empathize with Eowyn haven’t we all fallen for someone who wasn’t good for us but we still are drawn to them and love them (I know I have)? People harp on her like she’s a moron for loving Court and not falling into the arms of Gabe, she’s 14 a mere child in this new world of not just Butler’s but the new world of romantic love. Okay Julian earned father points this chapter, I love when he came to her and he was all love without lust. And who doesn’t love a father who gives you a Platinum Black credit card? So is Julian blaming Gabriel’s killing on being a inbred mutant who has no control over himself? Is it weird I want Annabelle and Eowyn to become friends they could start Court’s Broken Heart’s Club? I don’t like that everyone felt the pain of Court abjuring Eowyn (from a writing stand point it’s great) it was so personal I hate that it was shared by all. Why are girls such bitches and so willing to cut each other down? They all know what unrequited love is like especially Alice and instead of trying to comfort her they attack her verbally and physically, I think they are just as bad offenders as Court or Gabe any day of the week.

CH 27:
Oh Hell I forgot to talk about Eowyn’s microwave fingers in the last review! But it seems like with all new skills they will take some practice. I like the addition of the chaffer and him being a “dark cousin” I think it gives Eowyn hope. And I know Eowyn questions whether or not seek vengeance if she were to be harmed I am most certain there would be Holly Hell to pay. After reading 26 & 27 back to back and Eowyn think about how dangerous Gabriel seemed makes me believe that all the scolding Julian and Court have done to her about Gabe is now back firing, she is a normal teenage girl she wants what everyone dear to her has warned her against. Gabe announcing himself a bad guy made me think of Tony Montana in Scarface “Say good night to the bad guy… better get out of the way the bad guy’s coming thru”. And see I’m not the only one obsessing about that damn ham sandwich Eowyn is too! You used one of my all-time favorite sexy songs of all time it’s so filled with desire and pain; I had to listen to Wicked Games as soon as I read the first few words. Reading that scene a second time and considering the strange look Gabe had and then meeting Caleb I’m quite positive that the queuing of that song was no mere accident, it sounded more like a love letter to Gabriel form Caleb (?). “Any girl that doesn’t fall all over that bitch falls all over you. What is it about you Butlers that girls can’t resist?” I think that’s a thought we have all had including Eowyn herself. Okay obviously all of the Butler’s have a different moral compass the rest of us but I still found it strange and slightly alluring that Gabe had no guilt or shame admitting to being a killer to Eowyn but admitting to having a girl blown him instead he felt regret? Another thing that I realized the second read around was when Caleb yells “Get over Court”, I initial assumed he was yelling it to Eowyn but now I wonder if he meant it for Gabe?
Oh and lastly you suck! That was a bitch of a cliffhanger!

So I really like your story, sorry for taking so long to review. I don't know if this is just me, but I get really confused with the way you format your dialogue. I feel a little lost sometimes about who is saying what.

This is one crazy story, but I love it. I want to stop reading it but I can't. It's been awhile since I've read a story that made me feel a love hate relationship with all the characters. One minute I think I figure something out then comes something else to mess with my mind. Now thats the type of writing I like and I will have to definitely come back to check out the next chapter. Thanks for the read.

Definitely seems like she's going to lean over to Gabriel side from this chapter. I'm still rooting for Julian haha. Will she be in trouble for the drugs, skipping school, and the alcohol by Julian? She needs to be able to explore her powers more. If I was her I'd try to explore my powers to be able to defend myself and feel less lost. I hope she builds more confidence in herself soon :) thanks for another chapter I was waiting anxiously!
