WOW. I just spent a quarter of the evening reading your fic when I stumbled upon it. I am so amazed and enthralled to see what happens next! I love your writing style and the voice of your characters, as well as am drawn to what's happening around all of them. A part of me loves and hates Court, while another part of me wants to see her hook up Julian and another part wants to see what happens if she has Court and Julian at the same time! GAH! I can't wait for an update, keep up the great work!

Camp I love how the family is growing almost a normal relationship. But not this is just fun watching through her eyes.

Bad reviewer, bad! I read this the first AM it was posted but I am only now creating my review, my deepest apologies. Phew, with all that out of the way let the review begin:
Ch 36
I cannot explain why but I really like the grandfather he’s a mixture of truth, smug, and a splash of gentle; maybe I see him as the older toned down version of Court? It’s comforting to know that even the beautiful Butler’s have crazed mountain people like the rest of us; I suppose it’s their own version of white trash? This chapter for some reason felt very dream like to me (and that’s not a negative), I suspect it was based on the fact Eowyn was nervous about the reunion. Having Court announce “this is the cool room” was funny but also laced with dastardly magic. I know they have powers that no other family has but they are also incredibly normal as well the young ones getting together during a family (dys)function. And I’m pretty sure Gabriel is up to know good and I can’t wait for the fall out…

CHAPTER 35
YEAH!!!!! {She says as she waves her hands in the air like crazy inflatable arms guy in front of a car dealership} I’m so glad to have you back to this story, I understand sometimes the voices get lost in the crowd so I am very appreciative of the Anon who helped turn up their volume!
For a second as I was reading I thought Julian was going to be able to read Eowyn’s thoughts she seems to be thinking so loud that even an outsider could hear them. I wish Eowyn would find a happy medium between her old home spun clothes and the new flashy ones Julian picked for her, I understand she is doing to be independent of the crowd but sometimes old habit become a uniform and it doesn’t necessarily make you an individual when you’re doing to thumb your nose at the masses because you’re still not doing it for yourself but for others.
Eowyn sticking up for William was precious, yes she wants to keep him as a friend but I don’t think that was the only reason she did it, she knows that there is no pride in picking on someone or something weaker than you. And I forgot to set my timer how long did it take her to spill her guts 12 hours??? She this child doesn’t need any enemies to take her down she will fuck it up all on her own (now saying that I understand why we all fuck ourselves intentionally or not).
I can’t wait to see how Annabelle will be with her powers restored: will she see the errors of her ways, will she become a Mega Beast, or something totally different; I suppose time will tell. I was so calming and soothing Court admitting himself wrong in raping her soul but she can’t help herself but to throw his past into his face, at least he kept his anger in check.
Having read this new chapter I hope our loving reads and reviews will give you even more motivation to keep Eowyn, Court, Gabe & Julian close to your heart and mind.
