No wonder Briar's mother was so fucked up as to whore her 10-year-old son if she had come into contact with such a family. I wonder if Laurent is Briar's true brother or a stepbrother. Though, he did ask Briar what happended with his mother, so it was more than just an attempt to know more about the younger boy.

Chapter 19
If you had to name this chapter I would suggest “Field Trip” or maybe “Revolutions”?
In the back of my mind I wished their trip took longer because it would be the most fucked up road trip since “Fear in Loathing in Las Vegas”. Personally I don’t think Himself and Cyr are lovers, I don’t want to say that Himself would lower himself to have sex with Cyr it’s not that but I think Himself doesn’t mix business and please. And I’ve come to realize Himself is more a sexual object to be desired than a sexual being (does that make any sense?). I knew it I told you there was some foreshadowing, the older woman is Memere is Himself’s grandmother and as I figured out also Briar’s grandmother. I love the name Laurent it’s so romantic and lyrical. I enjoy the sweetness between Memere and Cyr but obviously this woman is not the typical grandmother, son in the sex slave business then handed down to a grandson then another son being a prostitute all of which she had the power to undo. Loving Cry is bringing Briar nothing but heart ache. How hurtful it must have been hearing Cyr confess: “It all makes so much sense…Why I’m so attracted to you,”
So many questions were answered yet so many have newly arrived…
Oh and sorry to hear Henri leaving, sorry Guillermo didn’t tag a long for Briar’s sake.
One last thing I was watching TV (yes I know it rots your brain but you learn things too), and I heard the name Cyr pronounced I was so psyched! In my head I have been pronouncing it like “sir” but it’s “seer”, which is so damn perfect because he is so hot he seers.

Thinking the old lady was the grandmother maybe? Never thought Himself could be Briar's father! That would be a total mind fuck excuse the French lmao. Briar needs to start learning some French as a matter of fact so he can figure out what they're saying!!! Grrr so frustratingly wonderful!! The mysteries are killing me in a most delicious way!! There were so many different ways to say or ask someone’s age; it made me laugh the when Briar said “Why aren’t you old”? Infatuated is the exact word to describe Briar’s feelings for Cyr. Himself really does seem to know it all. When Cyr says “I have wronged you” to whom was he speaking? I think if it was Himself I know what he meant (but that’s for me to know and for you to find out). Sometimes I feel like Cyr is more tortured than Briar. Although Cyr was only in a few scenes this installment the ending it had me feeling empathy for him; he was already confused when it was just him and Briar but with the arrival of Himself his world seems to be off its axis. I suppose Briar won’t be getting his (paid) booty call. Me and Briar have something in common we both wonder if Himself is gay or straight but I imagine he’s something totally different?
Oh and I sensed so foreshadowing in this chapter, am I correct?
