A wonderful, twisted story, and I just love Briar putting flowers on his mother's grave and then pissing on them. Wonderfully cynical.

This story had me coming back for each and every chapter. It was difficult to read at times and yet somehow you got me to understand how Briar could love someone like Cyr (and that was quite a feat). Thank you for writing this and congratulations on finishing it.

This was such a great story! I'm so glad I got to read it. I'm just sorry it's over. It was the second thing I did after getting on to upload mine was to look for your Briar updates. *Sigh* I will just have to wait anxiously for you to write another. *hinthint* Thank you for the story!

Chapter 21
You’re legal, LOL.
Do I start with the beginning do I address the fact that this is the end?? Conundrum!
Let’s start at the very beginning it’s a very good place to start… How long did Cyr know he was going to execute Laurent? Was a spur of the moment? Making good use of a bad situation?
I’ve read this chapter twice, the first time I was so shocked that it was the end I couldn’t articulate much beyond shock. And then I reread it once more and Laurent really had to die, I’ve since thought of whether Cyr should have killed Laurent or if Briar should have but you are right (like I should be so bold as to question) to have Cyr do it, he needed to free himself if Briar did killed Laurent it would always be between them and it may have destroyed Briar.
You have a knack for small moment like lifting the needle and making that screeching sound, I vividly remember those sounds you add such reality with these little intimate moments.
Even at his end Laurent had such control over Cyr, using Cyr’s affection against him. I’m glad that Cyr didn’t rape Laurent not because I would feel bad for Laurent 9certainly not because he deserves the discomfort) but because Cyr would never be free of him and to do it in from of briar would be so damaging.
Briar being able to eat in such an intense time is only a testament to the horrors he has suffered and to be the one to give the order to end it was heart breaking yet just. I don’t know what to think of the wave was it a sincere good bye or a smart ass gesture sometimes he’s so withdrawn it’s hard to get a read.
There was such love and compassion in Briar helping Cyr clean up the scene and stage it then helping him leave and collect himself. It was so selfless yes Briar only just learnt of his relation to Laurent but I’m sure he was still torn but then again maybe there was a part of Briar that was happy he was done with Laurent and he no longer had any power over his lover.
I wish I could comment more on the last scene with Cyr and Briar on the plane flying home but how do I describe a content sigh? Reading the end I knew nothing was going to be perfect but I felt secure that it was going to be alright. When they made love on the plane (and yes even if it was rough it was still making love) it was so damn beautiful it hurt my chest to read. I half expected the plane to fall out of the sky because it was too good of a moment for these two.
And thank you for the mini-Prologue at the end. The flash-forward of five years was so needed and welcomed. With all the angst and drama thanks for the laughs, pissing on his mother’s grave she didn’t deserve any better! So when do I start my Amazon search for ‘The Life and Times of Briar Dacier’? LOL
You know how I feel about you and a big congratu-fucking-lations on not just and end but a great end. Now I too and closing this book.

Wow!!! Himself was his brother!!! And his grandmother seems interesting and mysterious as well!!! I am never dissapointed when reading your stories! I am on edge right now...I wonder who Cyr will shoot!!!!
