Loved the chapter, and don't worry they can't all be on the edge of your seat exciting, the chapters like this are every bit as good and totally necessary to the story to give insight, let us get to know your character better and like you said a great bridge. Really great and I'm so glad I made ya smile:) Briar is such a great character, he's just so real! Really great and I agree with another reviewer (sorry can't remember who it was at the moment! lol) I will be very interested to see a Henri and Briar scene. That would be too hot! Keep up the great work!

Chapter 5
Damn I still can't get over the rape with the gun, Briar delicately showering himself as he remembered the rape still made me ill to my stomach. I'm sure this was not Briar's first rape and regrettably not his last but why does it strike me as so heinous? Adding that Briar asked for a burger with cheese and bacon but forgetting the fries is a nice reminder that he is still just a teenage boy. "Him" is so creepy not knowing this unknown mans name makes it all the more scarier like the boogeyman, and leads me to wonder if Cyr is scared of "him" as well, which means this guy is all sorts of scary-crazy. Cyr questioning Briar's sexual orientation and then being obviously jealous was such a nice peek into this demented mad man. How is it possible the Cyr makes it sound like he's doing Briar's a favor by not raping him. And he had his finger on the trigger the entire time frightening. Heartbreaking. That's what I felt reading Briar's final thought in this chapter.
Thanks for the shout out! Love you Babes, XoXo

I feel his pain of not being his own. How others didn't help him and just used his body. There is a sadness in his meaningless life. I loved the chapter.

CHAPTER 4
Briar, Briar, Briar you are not much more than a child and having to suffer more than any man should have to. To say I was shocked and horrified by his rape by a gun is an understatement, I don't know how to explain the fear and revolution of that act but it shows how completely cold and gone Cyr is. When Cyr accent slipped then was gone all together was brilliant Cyr no longer had control on his facade he seems to work so hard for hence his severe punishment of Briar. To Briar his best memory of his mother would be considered most people’s nightmare. At the end of all this violence you still manage to make me laugh or at least a huff: “This is Giraud, he will be your protector, “the only person or thing Briar needs from is the one employee the protector (is that a prime example of irony?).
