If you're looking for truth, darkness and reality...I recommend this author. Camp's stories always seem to draw me in and makes me face, at times, my own demons. I could feel the pain dripping from the words that were drawing me into the story... Fantastic Author!
My heart is saddened by the news of her passing...I am truly devastated...Thank you Marebare1979, for letting all of her fans know. She touched a part of me and awoke something that was hidden for so long and I was able to face my own fears because of it.
She will never be forgotten...

Wow. I absolutely loved Cyr. I'm sorry that Himself is dead but what a delightfully fucked up family. Thanks for the delicious character.

Hello there to all Camp30 fans,
I don’t know how many of her readers read her reviews (I know I always did). I’ve been putting off this… I am not only a reviewer and fan of camp30 but I call her a personal friend and with a heavy heart I say she passed away May 29th, 2013 on what would have be her 33rd birthday.
I’ve spent the better part of the time trying not to cry and obsesses about what I could have done. As you know she was a talented author but she was more than that she was caring, funny and brilliant, if you read her bio you will get a glimpse into her head and it was sometimes dark (but whose wouldn’t have been with her life) but she was also beautiful inside and out.
I just thought some of you may have wondered if she abandoned writing which could not be further than the truth it was the freest times of her life and she was working on two ideas before she pasted a Werewolf story and a gunslinger story (which I had the privilege to read a bit of). She truly was appreciative of all her fans, and it really made her day when people enjoyed her work.
I love you Lee, you were my best friend.
XOXO

This story started out interesting and well-written but steadily went down hill. I stopped midway in chapter 20. Suddenly making it like Briar is writing journal entries halfway through the story (and not bothering to make sure that the narrative fits that format), over-agonizing over how gorgeous Cyr was and how in love Briar is with him, random plot twists that aren't held together properly, the list goes on. It just became too sloppy for me to continue reading, which is a real shame because this could have been a fantastic read. I hope you revisit it later on and rewrite it properly. Thanks for sharing, at any rate.

Hi again! I was going to review chapter by chapter as I normally do but alsa that was not the case... In a good way... more interested in reading rather reviewing. I quite enjoy reading... Never fail to disappoint me... I liked Briar's (loved the name!)character and personality... I also liked how it was written 1st POV.
PS Finished reading Shadow's Claim... How disappointing :?

Chapter 20
WOW!! I thought the last chapter was good but this was something else! This woman is crazier than a shit house rat but her motives are completely sane to her; allowing a young boy to be a whore and then take advantage of it is heinous. But the way she speaks you almost believe her insanity as if it’s logical, doing him a favor by making him a high class whore instead a rent boy on the street.
Briar is so strong living the life he’s lived but not compromising his moral compass, yes he trades sex for drugs and gets paid to fuck and be fuck but that doesn’t make him any worse than the rest of us. He stood up to that woman and I don’t blame him for not wanting anything to do with that family, but of course it will be so interesting if he keeps in touch.
Should I be this excited hearing Cyr’s confession? We all suspected he had some sort of feelings for Briar even before he suspected the relation between Briar and Himself/Laurent. I think I feel bad for Cyr; he’s in love with an unobtainable man and now when he starts loving a new man/boy he discovers that maybe it’s just an extension of what he feels for Laurent.
“[Evil] that word is tossed around far too often, they are simply complicated,” that is so true, not much is that black and white; Good Vs Evil. I’m sure this family has its pro’s and con’s, Cyr seems to be quite found of them.
Of all the thing that could have contributed to Laurent’s disappearance it’s a domestic disturbance how common, LOL a man this powerful and who has many enemy’s foreign and domestic is being taken down by his girlfriend, come on that’s just funny! I’m not seeing a promising future for this girlfriend. To be young and in love in Paris…
…but these aren’t your average lovers in Paris now are they
Love you Babes, laters.
You know you love me, XOXO
