Um well that was a torture session that went a little overboard even for Salem's taste. Boy I didnt think he'd show any compassion. Is it me or is this the fucked Salem's fucked up version of love?

.... I just found this today and was reading it going, "Hmm... this seems familiar..." And it wasn't until I went back and read the author's note on the first chapter did I realized I read this before. And I remember LOVING the first version! I read the whole thing in two days, and that was about three years ago... Maybe more? I'm not sure.

Anyway, while I really enjoyed the first version of Loving Salem, I absolutely LOVE this one even more. The writing is still fantastic. Very well-written. It's descriptive and believable and the characters are so damn interesting I could just sit and read their interactions ALL DAY. Seriously.

I really like how Rain's mom appears more in this version. And that's strange for me because I usually get really bored with parents of the characters in books but Rain's mom is awesome.

So yeah. LOVE the story so far (pretty addicted, to be honest) and I can't wait for the next update!

Jesus, I just got chills. Salem was creepier than usual in this chapter. I can't believe he actually ASSUMED Rain was going to bag out on his mother and find an excuse NOT to go on the trip. That's crazy! How can Salem think that Rain could get away with something like that?

Oh, and I was wondering, b/c you know, I don't have enough to focus on what with Salem's creepiness and all, but how the HELL did Rain's mom get all those Christmas presents on the plane??? Twice! And without Rain seeing any of them; a skateboard, an electric guitar.....unless she left them at home and she just wrote down what they are. I know, I'm totally focusing on the wrong thing!

Looking forward to more - but not to Salem's punishment. It was actually nice to see Rain acting like a normal kid and not someone who's constantly on the lookout for the boogeyman. :( Too bad it couldn't last.

wahhhh!!!!!! I am chucking my typical "i have reached the end of the chapter and there are no more to read" hissy fit.....
Please do not make us suffer!! I so badly want to know just how awful (ie awesome) the punishment will be...

anguished cry of frustration!! wahhh!! I want to know all the answers! another amazingly written chapter. well done you! You are quite exquisite when it comes to the smut lol. i so badly want to know waht salem's deal is! and how dark was it at the end of this chapter, the stuff that salem is saying! and it is so true. and yet also throws up all the same questions as before... has it happened to him before? why? why is he doing it? and why did he choose rain?
and i love the way he "gets off on [rain] getting off...
and i love the way rain gets out the apple juice and the "rapidly dwindling" olive oil... so much lol

Another engrossing chapter. Questions, questions! I have a few myself. Do I see some early symptoms of Stolkhom in Rain? Has Salem actually been raped? How will this relationship end up? Could I love Salem/Rain any more than I already do?
I am inwardly gushing about your writing prowess!! Every time I read a chapter I have a reading orgasm. It's not weird, it's a compliment. These orgasms are reserved only for the creme de la creme!

Maybe Salem was used, abused and treated like shit.
Maybe treating him the same way is the only way he knows.
Maybe Salem does care for him in his own way.

Salem just keeps coming up with all these plausible instances. Like when Rain asked how he knew, and instead of answering, he went on to add other scenerios where Rain would be more upset with him if he answered the question. Salem has a way of avoiding answering questions while confusing Rain even more.

So they've been at this for two months. I wonder (since I don't remember from the first time around) how long Salem will keep this up. I also wonder why after all this time, he's never kissed Rain on the lips. He kisses him on the forehead as a show of affection I'm assuming, and then when they're having sex, but never on the lips. Is it sort of to put up a barrier, so he doesn't get all emotional with Rain? Like in Pretty Woman when Julia Roberts refused to kiss her tricks on the lips?

Is it better left unsaid? Now I'm just horribly curious now. Salem is such a big, unpleasant enigma.

and i laughed at the bit where salem demanded cartons of apple juice to be kept in the fridge for him.
the writing is consistently high quality. well done you!!!
waiting with baited breath for the next instalment. because there is actual plot beneath all of this deliciously well written smut. although i am not sure how these characters can really develop. salem just seems unforgivably awful (but i do love that about him)... there have been no chinks in his pycho-crazy-dominating-sadistic(but at the same time not really sadistic because he doesn't seem to get off on punishing rain) omnipotence that might hint at what he is or why he is like it... i am really looking forward to finding out everything that is going on...
