I've got to say I'm really loving this version. There's so much more depth to the characters, Rain's and Salem's relationship progress is much more believable and their individual backstories are really thought out; one can really see where they're coming from and why they are the way they are today. Love your way of writing and I honestly feel that this is one of the better rewrites I've read in a long time. I always love it when a writer takes a story I thought had so much potential but failed to deliver, reworks it and truly makes is shine. Something that is far too rare and I'm really happy to see you tackling Salem head on and the growth in your writing that the results show.

Wow, Salem is a real mess. I wonder if that shit happened to my own brother, he was a so called problem child and he'd spent time in reform school. There had been times when he did say things, just little hints of his life in those places, but generally he was quiet about it. I just knew he had no love for those places. I can't ask him now, he died years back, still this kind of thing seems kind of familiar. I never lived that life but I imagine it's more common than not.

I hope Rain does find a way over this terrible obstacle named Salem one day. Cause I definately wouldn't want to spend the rest of my life catering to Mr.Demento's whims!

Jesus, I never heard of such a thing. Shoving ginger up there? And it won't harm his insides? Geez, where does Salem come up with this shit?

I just don't get it. Wouldn't Salem rather have Rain the way he was over the weekend; always wanting to be with him, not pushing him away? When he forces Rain to be with him, it's because Rain has to, not because he wants to. Wouldn't Salem rather Rain wanted to be with him?

And he's so possessive. Is this because he doesn't have much and he really doesn't have much control over his life? He feels like he needs to control, to possess Rain? How can he expect Rain to be 'his' for his whole life? And what will happen when Rain and his mom go on vacation during the summer? Salem is going to have to 'punish' Rain b/c Rain wasn't there when he wanted him? Like he tortured Rain after the holidays? Doesn't Salem understand that Rain doesn't have any control over things like vacations with his mom?

I'm so happy you updated, I've been checking like 10 times a day because I was so anxious about what would happen next :p. I wasn't expecting Rain's reaction but I love the direction things are going in and I can't wait to read what happens next!!

seriously, how do you come up with these similes and metaphors? they are always a delight to read because they are always original and oh so fitting to the story... and what a story *transported by fits of love* i loved this chapter. out of all the m/m and yaoi, both manga and stories, i have never in my life read a scene with figging... i didnt even know it was done with humans... and that it could be made so "hot"... lol... i had only heard of it from stories about shonky horse sellers in the olden days lol.... thank you for educating me. my eyes are wide.

Absolutely loving this story (I've read a whole heap of stories in the past year and I might I add this is the first review that i've done so it must say something). ! I must admit that a few of the scenes had me shivering in excitement, anxiety, etc, etc.... it always leaves me wanting for the next chapter and even though I know it wouldn't be updated for a couple of days, it doesn't stop me from checking every other day lol!
Have you ever thought of writing from Salem's point of view? What you have now already shows his possessiveness pretty well but I have sometimes wondered whether you've played with the idea of showing what Salem thinks. Either way, you're doing a fantastic job on this story keep it up *thumbs up* =D

I'm going crazy from this... Salem, why are you such an enigma? Damn. I'm so curious as to how and why he had those scars... I can't remember if the first version ever said what happened to his parents... I'm curious about that too. Next chapter, please?

I love this. I just started reading it and could not put it down. I never read the original but I love everything about this. The subtle depth of characters, the writing style the inner conflicts that Rain faces are so real that I find MYSELF feeling like Rain falling for Salem. Please please keep it up! I'm itching for more!!

*wipes drool* Wow. These boys just go at it like bunnies. Salem's scars...Rain's change of heart...It's amazing what sleepovers can do. I am uber excited at the relationship level up!! It's clear that Salem really likes Rain. I am unsure of Rain's feelings though. However I'm sure that in later chapters their affinity will be tested; I just hope that they pass *crosses fingers*. Another amazing chapter!!!!! The anticipation of another is killing me!
