this is really fucking intense. you're a great writer.

SO EXCITING. I followed this story religiously way back when you were originally writing it on the Aarin forums (and I may also have been that person who hunted you down a few months ago and pestered you about my craving to reread it...)

The thing I loved about the original story, the thing that's stuck with me all these years, are the sensory descriptions you weave throughout it. It's so rare to find a story that you can really imagine in all five senses, and I love that you don't make all the smells/sensations/tastes super pleasurable, because it makes everything so much more real.

Some of the smells, tastes and images from the original have still stuck with me, and it's super crazy to read this and have some of them re-affirmed and some of them totally flipped around. The absence of snow and leather couches in chapter two blew my mind, because they were so much a part of the feel of that original scene. I'm pretty intrigued by the shift--the change from slow-dreamy-creepy to up-against-the-wall-with-dogtags gives it...not really more tension, but it's a different sort of tension. I'm excited to see more!

(One thing that always bothered me about the tied-up-with-sex-toys-for-three-days scene and continues to bother me in the new version--Salem is giving him bathroom breaks, right? I know it is probably just not the sort of thing you wanted to write into the story, but whenever I read the scene some small part of my brain keeps bitching at Salem for not letting Rain go pee. Also for being a jerk. If I recall correctly this was the scene in the original where I found Salem the least likeable...err, sympathetic? Let's stick with the title and go with lovable.)

How does Salem know all this about the psychology of ruining someone? It's like he knows all the buttons to push, all the things to do to make someone lose their mind.

And he does it all while convincing the person that it was THEIR fault they are in this position to begin with. Salem is innocent.

I know I've said this before, but I can't wait to find out about his past. Why would he think that doing all this to Rain is going to make Rain fall in love with him or something? Why couldn't he just go about doing things the normal way, the way normal people do them? lol You know, get to know a person better, hopefully that person will like you...

Oh, I almost forgot: how did Rain go to the bathroom? Or he didn't? I mean, I know he didn't eat or drink hardly anything, but still, didn't he at least have to pee? =) And boy, with all that dried cum on him, I'm sure he didn't smell all that good either! lol

this is such lovely writing!! seriously, the narration of this story is so wonderful. there are moments where the writing is even lovelier than the smut lol... and the smut is rather lovely. gosh! salem! and for three days! that is so awful... he sounds a little unstable the way his moods swing like that... and what does he mean when he says that he has been waiting for rain? i love this kind of story!! thank you for updating it. i feel like my reviews are inadequate in showing how much i particularly appreciate this story.

God I really don't like Salem, he's just so demented. I wonder how his home life is? Is Salem that starved for affection he has to do this to some poor soul? Is it alright to ask for some more background on Salem, to at least try to understand Salem a little better :)?

This is one messed up kid. I can't wait to re-live his past b/c I don't remember from the first posting.

He really knows how to scare someone; tying Rain up, blindfolding and gagging him, sticking vibrating eggs in him and leaving him there until morning? I'd freak out if it were me.

have i mentioned before that i really like the way Rain 'observes' things like that... i really like your writing style.
I love the way Salem keeps turning up so unexpectedly and so creeper-like... I love how creepy salem is. What i love is the way he had all of that bondage gear and those toys organised before hand... i like to imagine him walking to Rain's house with a huge sack over his shoulder full of his equipment... lol
omg i love Salem! he is Everything! i love in a dominating creepy slightly sadistic bastard of a seme. He is wonderful!! Everything he says is perfect! I so badly want to know everything that you are hinting at. *sigh* will have to pine away and wait for the updates...
I like the way Rain was so awkward over whether to tell his mum. it felt believable.
what interests me is why Salem did all that to Rain in this chapter but then left without "benefitting" himself... lol i cant believe i am using so many euphemisms lately... why didnt Salem f*#k Rain is what i am asking... it adds a new element of interest to this whole affair because it is quite a twist really... usually in these kinds of stories the seme takes his pleasure always.
i have so many questions... why Rain... what does he mean when salem says he "knows" Rain... how so? where is this all going? there is interesting plot and character development amongst all the steamy smex... all of these facets are vying equally for my attention... you really have my attention with this story... i can. not. wait. for updates...
and yeah, i was reading someone else review and they have got me thinking the same questions... how does Rain know all these "tricks"... lol why does he have enough equipment to out fit a sex shop? was he also abused? or is just some kind of ancient demon lol... or a witch of some kind... an incubus??? wahhh i wants to know it all now...

Just as a heads up, if you haven't already, you may want to write in Salem taking the clamps off his nipples every 30-60 minutes to rub them, then keep them off for several minutes before reattaching them. It'll add more realism into the story. Nipple clamps are EXTREMELY painful when left on too long. Hell, even 30 minutes is too long in a lot of cases.

Also, most males can't handle that much stimulation for long periods of time. After coming MAYBE 2-3 times, probably even before that, the vibrators would become painful and not pleasing. Just letting you know.
