and since henry was a late bloomer
he got used to suppressing it by then,
and now he doesnt know how to let it out.

Ah, I think I get it now. :) So no one would really be 'safe' from Henry once is cycle starts. That's why Mark takes care of him, but not in that way, right? They don't have sex right?
And that's why John can't come back until Henry's cycle is over? I do like John though. He was pretty funny: "Did you lock the door?" I was cracking up! Lock it, Mark didn't even CLOSE it! lol :)

nice start.
now, I really want Henry and Mark to somehow end up together.
Also, I really enjoy this sly part of the characters: John with his cunning plan and Mark with his contradictory signs. I love spider-like protagonists who subtly draw in a trap their unsuspecting victims. Mark almost unconsciously pulls in Henry, while consciously rejects and abhors the idea of a family. I kind of hope, since Mark is treading in dangerous territory and plays with fire (or Henry, to be accurate ;P), well, to see Mark fall in the trap of his own making.

I read some of the previously left reviews and it made me smile to see some of the readers new to the genre of mpreg, since the idea of a cycle is unknown to them. Whoever indulged in the mpreg world surely remembers of Lashran peculiarity to go in cycle or werewolf subs go into a mating fever. It's quite a common trait of mpreg stories.
However I have to admit it's the first time I read of a species that feels the URGE to mate/breed even OUTSIDE of their cycle period, when they're actually lucid and in control of themselves. It's like a category of people whose main TRAIT is to LONG for a family. I mean, everywhere there are people who desire to start a family, but here it's like a characteristic that defines the ENTIRE species. Usually in mpreg stories, the peculiarity of a species is the possibility of HAVING children, not WANTING to have children. We are used to consider the decision of settling down as a choice conseguent to a passionate relationship, not the other way around. Here the priorities change: mariage and family first, relationship and compatibility second.
This is the idea I got in the 1st chapter. And I like this new prospective.
I don't know if I make sense, but here it's late and I may not be in full possesion of all my faculties.

What a nice new fic this is! I liked it a lot. Henry seems like a sweetheart and Mark was really funny. It'll be interesting to find out how their life will sort out.

Thanks for updating so fast! I think Henry has found his mate but what is his name? I don't think you mentioned it. I can't wait to see what happens on their next date. I really love Mark, he's such a riot, and think John is going to be around awhile, LOL.
