In response to the previous reviewer; the prologue isn't Baisyl's dream, it's Kedean's. It ends with the words "Kedean wakes" but it's also clear throughout; for example he says he only has one brother- that's Zyric, Baisyl has two brothers (Rhyan and that dickhead whose name I can't remember and am too lazy to look up- the guy who harrassed him in the very beginning of The Coquette and the Thane. I'm guessing this is the 'brother' that Kedean will kill eventually).

Baisyl is the Dragon Lord- he's half dragon, he's a noble, and who knows where this power struggle amongst the dragons will take him, anyway?
So unless there's some SERIOUS plot twist coming, that's how I'm reading it.

Me likey~~ I can't wait to see what Baisyl's reaction to all of this is going to be. Obviously, it's going to be a bit negative. :) But what's more interesting is how The Magical Others will react. He's an important heir... who's going to have an heir himself...

Also, poor Zyric. :(

I don't know how I missed that last sentence. I went on imagining it was B. speaking and kept wondering about the number of brothers (I forgot B. has in fact 2 brothers, since one of them hasn't made an appearance lately). Thanks for pointing it out! Now it makes sense :)

I loved that intro. I just had to comment before I read on. Very well done! I am excited to read more of this.

I hope Kedean and Baisyl's unborn child doesn't die. I hope he lives.
