so in my review for the practice mate i lied about having read any of this story. it is FREAKING amazing!! i only have time to read the first chapter becasue i pulled the wonderful new years day shift lol sarcasm. I cant wait to read more. your writing is so amazing. one of the best on here seriously.

Chapters 4 - 8: Well, I zipped through the next chapters without stopping. And now, I have to wait. Owwww, its such a hard place to stop at. It's so complicated, I want and expect them to get together but life isn't fantasy, and I really don't know what you're going to do. That's a good thing, makes it very interesting.

Chapter 1: This story was recommended by attackegg. I love it when someone recommends something outside of the fandom I usually read and it turns out to be a gem! Shit, I was laughing over the stoner quips *memories*. I think it's really well written, and I'm very interested in the plot. The characters are really engaging.

Chapter 2: Another well written chapter. But, Oh. My. God. Stupid Sev, taking a picture! Even if he thinks he only wants to be able to look at it for himself, its a big risk. I think Mr. Duarte likes the thought of living dangerously, even though he also wants to be cautious, too. He may have protested before about responsibility and being the adult, but clearly his actions suggest that he's trying to set himself up in a scenario where he should be punished. Good stuff.

Chapter 3: This is too good. I don't want to stop, but I have to take a break, damn it. I can't even think of a review, I just love it!

Throughout most of this chapter, my main thought was oh my GOD am I glad I'm not eighteen anymore. You capture it well, the emotional and hormonal confusion that comes with being a teenager; not knowing who you are and who you want to be and where you want to go. And I may have said this before, but Caleb is satisfyingly different from Sev, by sheer virtue of being older- he has many of the same problems (how do I deal wih rejection, with my needs, how do I stand up for myself... the list goes on), but not the same reactions.

And then I got to the end, where suddenly everything got out of hand and things started happening in quick succession, leading to a somewhat unexpected but very welcome conclusion of the chapter; and I realized that you've managed to write eight captivating chapters before you even got to the slightest bit of sex (at least as far as I remember. It's been a while ;P). That's a rare treat, most people don't even try (I'm guilty of that myself, on occasion) and those that *do* often fail to make it interesting. Caleb is stuck now between being a teacher, a role model on the one hand, and being sexually involved with the kid he's giving advice to. He went from being a parental figure to making out within a few paragraphs, that's skeevy and he knows it, and yet I understand both. I'll be curious to see how he solves that little problem!


So thank you for another entertaining chapter, and while I hope the ending -whenever it may come- will satisfy my sweet tooth, I also hope it will be equally satisfying to my love of stories that feature "real" people and real problems and real answers.

Wow! You gave us so much with that chapter. This story is amazing. I felt so caught up with all of the emotional upheaval, it was almost tangible. Sev is very easy to relate to, and Finch is a surprisingly good and intuitive friend. Thanks.
